This place uncovers the fantastic journeys of legendary explorers who went to pursue Arctic and Antarctic expeditions against all odds. Although the museum is relatively small, it is replete with historical artifacts and wonderful details of those expeditions. Worth a visit!

It's really worth a visit. You read about early exploration, Shackleton, Franklin's expedition. Many artifacts and model boats too.

One of many department dedicated collections in Cambridge. Each university department has a smallish museum full of interesting artifacts. This is one of them. Good if you have younger children who might not have the attention span for a larger collection. Also free if I recall correctly. A little bit out of the way but you can get there by bus if the walk is a bit long.

Comparatively small museum but packed with lots of information on the Arctic and Antarctic. Provides a great look on past expeditions as well as raising important issues concerning climate change.

This museum celebrates the courage and will of Robert Falcon Scott and his crew. I will not write too much about it so those who haven’t seen it can go and visit the museum for their selves.

Walking through this museum put so many things into perspective for me. Life and how fragile it truly is and how explorers throughout history have risked their lives to learn more about the geography of the planet we live on.

It’s a small museum and the entrance is free for all so definitely go through it when you visit Cambridge.

A detailed insight into polar exploration and the life of Scott. Incredibly friendly staff and very informative. Spend about 30 minutes here. Absolutely free but donation recommended.
