Great couple of hours spent here. This is a gem which is on our doorstep! Lovely afternoon tea! Great exhibits and friendly staff and owner! Only downside was my husbands chair collapsed beneath him in the café! No harm done, and apologies all around! It was like stepping back into a different era and one
that we could remember! This is a very personal project that has taken years to put together and obviously has not stopped yet! I wish the owners continued success. I would not recommend for very small children, but it is really for children of school age who are able to absorb information. If you are at a loose end in Taunton or surrounding area it is well worth a visit.

A lot better than expected! We saw the leaflets and as we were visiting Bishops Lydeard anyway we thought we may as well visit. The museum is mostly inside the old mill and so for some people access may be a difficulty, however it is in keeping with how the mill would have originally been. Exhibits were interesting and some were interactive too so suitable for children!

There is also a small transport gallery which is interesting and a tea room on site, both of which were good. Also, we loved the ducks!

Great little place to visit, is is a bit out of way and is in an old water mill but they have cramed a lot into a small space. There are steep steps to get to other floors but were told that there is a video tour for those can't make the steps. Great little coffee shop .

Excellent water mill and museum, with exhibits on a wide range of traditional crafts, with friendly and welcoming ladies at the entrance. Small tea shop. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant.. left it a bit late in the day for our visit, but they were so accommodating. Coffee and cake good too.
I've lived here in Lydeard for many years.. never visited it.. it's a Charity, and such a gem of a place
