Good Points :. Shop is small but only shop selling strings/ guitars in Mill Hill. If you need to try before you buy then this is the place
Studios : they are cheap and ideal for old school rock and punk at competitive prices in the week
Bad Points :
The studios are in a very run down Industrial estate and hard to access. There is no parking anymore.
They are old school. If you require modern things then you need to go elsewhere.
For networking most people rehearsing play old people's venues and are established. Their site says this.
They try to run teaching and ballet classes but the premises are totally unsuitable for this because of the lack of access, old school rock and roll atmosphere, you often find the aroma of certain plants permeating the atmosphere.
Conclusion : if you want to revisit a 70s style cave type rehearsal room for inspiration then this is the best place. But if you want a modern studio with daylight it's not very good. As for ballet it is not ideal for kids to be in this sort of place. Parking is the worst of any studios in London and cars are ticketed on Buns Lane.
Ps some of the other Google reviews on here have been written by the owners family and employees. Not helpful at all.
Edit ;.
Reply to Response by MHMC :
The response from the owner whom I never met whilst booking the studio highlights why many now avoid these studios. The main rehearsal rooms do not have natural light and are decorated in black. They are based in old industrial units. The shop as I said is good and is in a modern extension which has a couple of decent multi-purpose rooms.
The person who replied has made inaccurate personal attacks on me rather than deal with my views which is very unprofessional. I have over 7.3 million views for my photos/reviews on Google I am always as positive as I can be but honest. I suggest people read my other reviews which go back years of music and arts venues and hospitality. I made several positive points in my review about the studios yet the reply did not even acknowledge this.
