Top Nails Salon

Absolutely appalling service and extremely rude staff. It is certainly no wonder why this nail salon is always empty when I walk past during my lunch, and before and after work. This seemed to work conveniently for me as I could be seen to right away without prior booking but today I realised why it is that all the other nail salons on Chesham High Street seem to be fully booked and busy and they far from it!

I requested a simple file and polish today with the intention of returning for a pedicure tomorrow. The result: my nails were painted over the edge, in uneven layers and with air bubbles on quite literally every nail (albeit some more visible and worse than others). Upon raising this with the lady who painted them, she insisted that it was perfectly fine and completely normal to get air bubbles. She offered to add an extra layer of top coat explaining that this would solve the issue, which of course it did not.

Her complete disregard to the poorly painted nails was quite surprising and it was certainly even more amusing to listen to her try to convince me that it is completely normal to get bubbles, when I have been getting my nails done for most my life.

In summary: do not waste your time or money here. They have extremely low standards and consequently deliver a poor service. There is also no such thing as customer service here, as they are rude and ill-mannered. I hope this encourages others to avoid this place!

I first tried this salon when it had just opened a couple of years ago, they took off some gels and burnt a nail with the filer.

I wanted to give them a second chance so took my daughter in last week to have a full set of acrylics (£38).
By day 3 she had lost 4 of the nails, they completely came off!! I have never known this for acrylics before.
Took her back and asked for a full refund as we wanted them to last for a few weeks.
They don’t offer refunds and said they would just replace the 4 that had come off, so they did.
Now we are in the same position all nails (except 1) have now come off!!

Absolutely terrible nail salon!! Avoid this place!!!

Use the one further up USA NAILS and get a proper service.

Been coming here for years, always exceptional service. Have never had to book, just walk in. Cash only. Loyalty scheme. Great selection of polish colours. Foot rub and massage chair for pedicure is just the best!

My go-to nail salon. Lovely friendly family business; excellent service & prices.

Really good that they are open on Sundays, my only day off. They did a good job although there could have been a little more attention to detail in the preparation. I will be booking again & having a pedicure too.

My favourite nail salon

Not the most hygienic, but great value for money and friendly enough staff. There’s never a queue, and their loyalty card gives you 20% off with every 5th purchase.
Staff are happy to reference images if you show them and will help you pick a colour.

They always have the same 10 pop songs on repeat on the TV though. If I hear ‘Happier’ by Bastille again I’ll cry.
