Nailista

I went in for a full set of acrylic nails on a thursday evening when the salon was open later (until 7pm) as I work full time and finish at 5:30pm.

I was welcomed in and asked if they would have time to fit me in as having worn acrylics before, I know they can take some time to do and I hadn't booked an appointment. I think it was the manager who spoke to me and kindly booked me as a walk in appointment. I chose a full set of acrylics as wanted with a nail polish colour on top at £25, a price I thought was really good. I was sat down with a girl who was still training and soon to take her exams which I am normally perfectly fine with. However, as previously mentioned, I was aware of the time and how long they could possibly take.
When sat down and halfway through the appointment, the manager came over and asked if I could pay soon as she needed to cash up. I was a bit confused as to why she didn't ask me when she booked me in as then it wouldn't run the risk of ruining the nails or disturbing the appointment.

When the nails were painted, I was advised they would take up to half an hour to be touch dry. This meant having to get my purse out ridiculously carefully and try to put my coat back on without smudging them. Unfortunately, that's practically impossible so two nails have been smudged and effectively wrecked.
I found the manager to be quite rude, abrupt and like she just wanted to get me out the door.

I do however think the girl who did my nails was really good, friendly and thorough and I love the shape and length of the nails themselves. Just wish that maybe the manager should have thought about either turning me away out of time constraints or putting me with a slightly quicker/more experienced technician to make sure they left on time.

Don't think I'll go again as have heard other quite negative reviews from my friends about the salon.

Fantastic service. Had a set of gel nails done in 30 minutes by Sara- they look great! I'm really impressed with the resistance of the polish to scratches and general wear and tear. Sara was really friendly and made sure I was completely happy with how my nails looked at every stage of the process. Another reason to come back to Chester more often!

Went to this salon for infills. The nails look great and the girls are really nice, however it took her an hour and a half where it would normally take 30 minutes in the place I usually go and they are just as good. It took her half an hour just to remove the polish because they don’t use electric files. So they have to manually file the polish off, which also involved her filing into my skin which was painful. She also didn’t file the nails shorter which I asked for and didn’t check at any point that I was happy with the length which I thought was pretty standard in a nail salon.

I paid £40 for infills and shellac which I think is expensive considering the girl doing them was still training in college and took and hour and a half.

The nails are nice but my advise would be don’t go here if you’re in a hurry or don’t want to pay a lot. My suggestion for the salon is to use electric files and train your staff to use them, it would save a lot of time! And maybe if the staff member isn’t fully trained and will take a lot longer have it cheaper like they do in hair salons.

Really lovely girls and amazing service! They fit me in at late notice before Christmas. Couldn't be happier with my nails!

I went in to have gel toes today and I have been here once or twice before and usually everything is fine. I never ever complain but I was really disappointed with my experience at Nailista today. To start off the lady was quite late (which I was okay with at first) but then I was told I was unable to have french pedicure because they needed another 15 minutes. Although that might have been my fault with the booking but, I was disappointed to not have what I wanted. The lady filed my toes so rough that I have ended up with cut feet. I was given a 25% discount as I wasn't happy but after I left I physically couldn't walk properly. The reason I had my toes done is because I am going to the races tomorrow and wearing heels and I'm feeling nervous that I might be in pain as result of the damage to my feet from the nail file. I've returned home in a lot of pain, dodgy shaped nails and feeling quite annoyed that I even paid any money for the service today. I wish I'd of just done them myself. I was going to recommend my Mum to come here to have her nails done but from my experience today she's definitely been put off.

I ve just got my nails done in there by Sara. All the girls are lovely and fun. But ı would say Sara is the best in town. I ve been in Chester for 8 months before Nailista ı ve tried two more nail store ı was totally disappointed. She made me really happy ı ve felt really relax. I ll definitely go back. I would highly recommend. Thanks a lot Sara. ☺️

After a friend recommended Nailista to me, I visited today and Sara gave me mini gel extensions. It was my first time ever getting my nails done and Sara was very helpful and patient with me, as I did not know exactly what I wanted. Throughout the appointment Sara kept checking if I was happy with the nails and offered me her expert advice of what to get.
I am very happy with my nails and will definitely return to try new things.

Managed to get an impromptu appointment as a birthday treat for my 10 year old niece. The girls were just brilliant with her a made her feel super special. I also had a fab manicure which was lovely for my arthritic hands. Thank you x
