We're so lucky to have this cycle-path/footpath based on the old M&GNJR railway that runs the 25 miles from Norwich, finishing at the picturesque Norfolk town of Alysham. Well used by recreational and commuter cyclists, dog walkers, ramblers, walkers seeking pubs and refreshments. Passes old industrial sites, farms, woodlands and the Whitwell Station Railway Museum (well worth a visit). The old railway line used to finish at the old Norwich City Railway Station, bombed by the Luftwaffe during the Baedeker Raidsduring the war. My mum used to catch trains to the Midlands from here. The start of Marriotts Way is just off the Barn Road/Barker Street roundabout part of the Norwich Inner Ring Road a lovely path through the Norfolk Countryside.

A fantastic walk or bike ride. You can't get lost, and for about 98 per cent you won't see a car . There are lots of places you can pick it up .

Nice walk from the City to West Earlham! There are some small little fields along the way that are perfect for picnics.

Marriotts way is great I use it 3/4 times a week. It would be better if the council cut back the overgrown sides of weeds however as its very narrow in places now.

A good place to walk or ride. Takes you out in the countryside very quickly. On a bike, within about 15-minutes, you can be surrounded by countryside.

The start is precisely where the old Platform 1 of Norwich's old City Station used to be. There is an information board here and at various points along the walk.
