Small but delightful nature reserve that has been a family meeting point for a number of years. Lots of autumn colour and carpets of bluebells in late spring. Green space for picnics, woods for den building and even a tiny cave! No toilets, despite the suggestion to that effect on Google maps. However it’s close enough to main roads and services or the cafe at the garden centre for that not to matter.

We visited with two children in wheelchairs. We found the site to be accessible to us, albeit a bit rough in places, and we didn't explore far. There are two car parks, one just as you enter, and one at the end of the made road. There is a height restriction at the entrance, sign posted as 2m (although we had no issue with it and our WAV is taller). There is a well made path from the car park to a clear picnic area amongst the trees. We chose to venture into the woods a little which we found rough but passable. A quiet afternoon out with some interesting geology!

Dryhill is a small woodland with some open spaces. It is not a large area to loose yourself and walk for an hour or two. It is an ideal place for a picnic or let the kids use some energy up. There is a dirt pathway that runs around the outside of the woodland which will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. It is clean and tidy with free parking.

Nice quiet place to walk the dogs with plenty of shade, some interesting geological features and 2 free parking areas. Not very large so you may end up repeating your route.

Popular with local dog walkers, a small nature reserve. Plenty of free parking. Can be muddy after the rain.

A great hidden gem with two free parking areas. Not the biggest of areas but plenty to explore, with plenty of echo's to its past as a quarry. The paths can get very muddy in wet conditions.

Very muddy throughout winter - a most inappropriately named nature reserve. But still a nice, short, dog walk.
