Great place to go for a family walk, nice staff in the cafe and a decent walk to blow out the cobwebs after new years eve.

The front gates were open but the centre was locked, it always seems to be closed. So walked onto the decking which was open from the side entrance. The view onto the Gorge is highy obscured, can't see much, a real shame as it would otherwise be a great platform for viewing the Gorge. I have attached 2 photographs. Really needs to be drastically trimmed.
I then used the path to the right of the wildlife trust building and walked down into the Gorge.
There were lovely ducks and newly hatched chicks and other wildlife, great to see and photograph. I have attached a photo of a lone chick amongst the daisies. Very peaceful setting.
Please do get the trees and bushes trimmed.

Very nice calm place to walk a dog. Shame the visitor centre has been closed down though.

Great place for a short walk. Steep path in and a bit of a climb coming out , but worth it. Lots of water birds , and the trees are beautiful this time of year. And free parking, shame the visitors centre is closed, would have been nice to get a hot drink.

Absolutely beautiful place with loads of wildlife, even glow worms and many brilliant birds! Highly recommend to anybody of any age. Great place for scouts and school trips, or for groups to come and help out at! This is my favourite wildlife reserve and this opinion is the same with most people that I know.

Great regeneration of a beautiful area !! Worth a look access is pretty good too for a disused quarry

Really lovely to go for a walk and see the ducks, swans, geese etc. Very sad that the visitor centre closed though especially as it was a place you could buy food to give to the birds. Maybe a sign could be put up with alternative suggestions on what to feed them instead of the many loaves of bread fed to them.

I only gave it 3 stars because the visitors centre seems to have been closed for ages. Nice walks around the lakes, entrance may be bit steep a climb for some folks.
