Beautiful spot for nice walk, accessible for disabled and families with prams. Not much of an entertainment for kids. Lots of bikers and motorbikes unfortunately too. Just go and enjoy the beauty of nature.Ice cream van on car park at the front of the entrance.

Easy to park opposite the entrance but I'd say on busy days it could be difficult.
I visited six years ago and to be honest it looks better managed now, nice walks for absolutely everyone with great views of the forest.
There is a place in the middle of the forest that you hear nothing but trees moving and birds singing.
No places to sit as such but we found a log used to reach a rope swing that we used for a picnic instead.
Although we did have a cheeky swing as well.
Totally litter free which is amazing in this day and age.
Overall you gotta go and visit to have your own experiences, we are glad we did.

Lovely place for a family picnic or dog walkers mainly. Free off road parking and you could literally walk around for 3-4 hours. Beautiful in the sun and lots of flowers and birds to spot in the summer!

Love walking around the firs with my 2 dogs the walk around the perimeter of the firs is about 3 miles but it’s great for families as their are lots of different paths and routes to take in Harlestone Firs

So accessible and amazing place to spend from short to long time for a walk. Getting lost is even a nice thing as it's easier to find any path

Did a lovely pack walk today as part of Chasing Pawfection dog training. Lovely woodland with a great coffee shack on site. Really great walking location.

A nice sized forest than can take just over an hour to walk around if you walk to the furthest points.
There is no car park, you have to park opposite the entrance along the road..this can get quite busy at peak times and has the danger of crossing the road. Be careful with children and animals..
Dogs are allowed in the woods, and off the lead too.
There are sometimes vans around selling hot drinks and ice creams..although they're not there all of the time..
There are no toilets. There are some in the garden centre across the road though.
There are paths most of the way around. These arnt flat at all points and wouldn't be great for a buggie.
Also I'd advise wearing wellies or boots all year round for 2 reasons... in the winter it gets quite muddy, and in the summer there are a breed of ants that live in this forest and they're big, massive, and they're not just at one off points, they're everywhere !! To the point that if I'm stood still I keep my legs marching!!
I have no fear of ants I'd like to add, but these are very big ants !!
Check them out for yourself ( in wellies ) !

Beautiful place to explore. It's very busy on sunny weekends but still a lovely walk. There was also a coffee van inside and an ice cream van outside on the main road which were great! A nice place up wander in any weather but take wellys if it's been raining recently as some areas can be quite muddy in the wetter seasons. Thoroughly recommend!
