What a lovely walk with views of the river Avon, meadows, farmland, wildlife and the cathedral. Begin at the Old Mill, Harnham, a 15th century building with features dating back to 1250. From its early ecclesiastical beginnings, it was transformed in the 16th century to a paper mill and is now converted into a hotel. Follow the Town Path, made famous in John Constable's classic painting of Salisbury Cathedral, into Salisbury. A longer circular route of 3.4 kilometers is available plus guided tours. A beautiful location and highly recommended!

Lovely walk, round the water meadows. A stop in the Old Mill Pub as well. You can get some very good views of the cathedral all along the walk. Cycle lanes as well as walking lanes. If you have a spare hour walk round through Lizzy Gardens and head to the Mill for a pint then walk back. Thumbs up....

The prettiest walk in the south. Sheep graze these meadows, still unchanged in 300 hundred years. Wonderful views across historic water meadows to the stunning Salisbury Cathedral. Constable painted from here, you can stand in his footsteps and feel like you are inside his work. Beautiful!
