A bit in disrepair but much better than walking along the main road towards Elstead... Wellies required in anything but the driest weather!

Lovely spot, probably best in fairer weather. Some of the board walk was under water and icy, but it was a particularly high river when we went. Spots by the the river here are beautiful and the meadows have some real variety

Nice little spot with a boardwalk as you leave the small cat park. Takes you out on to the river and meadow. Real nice in summer with its colourful water plants from white yellow pink and blue. Also a great spot for wild swimming i swam about 1mile up stream and back again real nice and even spotted a kingfisher.

Lovely place for a quick walk, not ideal for dog walks because dogs have to be on leads. My advice would be to go in a pair of wellies as it gets quite muddy at bits. :)

A great place for the wildlife. Not a good place for the family. No dogs allowed. Only a few parking spots on the edge of the road, hard to find and get to by foot as no footpaths on that road. To get in you need to go over a stile or locked gate. Watch out for deep water as the site has natural springs. The board walk in is across a wet area, in need of repair and will normally be wet. Some stinging nettles, ticks can be a problem when the meadow grass is long. Cows on site from May to October with electric wire along the river bank when the cows are out. Once on site it is a nice place to be one with nature and you have a good chance of being alone for hours without seeing anybody. The site is sometimes used by naturists so do not be surprised if you see naked people. In the winter the site can flood. It is private fly fishing here for members only. I think the club has only two or three members.
