Oldtime favourite. Place full of memory of Birthday parties because of its exceptional number of open layout micro nature spots. Especially the eroded layers of sand and limestone which are well visible in the small video take with drone flight.

This is a little out of the way, but well worth a visit. A lovely little nature reserve. Parking on the A338 is VERY limited, so best to go at less popular times.

The location is very nice and peaceful, and is a frequent place for us to visit at different times of the year, with the nature reserve area itself and a number of other paths through the woods outside the nature reserve.
However there are a number of inconsiderate dog owners who ignore the signs erected by the landowers requiring that dogs are kept on their leads inside the nature reserve area, and instead let them run, often unsupervised, and allow them to jump into the small muddy pond and disturb birds nesting in the reeds, and to leave mess along paths.

Fun and not very busy, forest walks and the sandy pit area great for the kids and stretching the legs.
