I love this place. We have visited a couple of times. We haven't seen huge amounts of anything but we have seen some lovely wildlife. There is no facility here for food toilets etc but if you are keen to see some flowers and butterflies it's great. It's only small and you have to be ok on foot. Beautiful unspoilt place.

A lovely oasis for wildlife. Lots of interesting plants and butterflies to see. As in the description it is a disused quarry that is managed for our wildlife. There is some management to keep down invasive species such as Lady's Mantle and Rosebay Willowherb. Well worth a visit if you enjoy nature and like the peace and quiet. There is limited parking and it is a short walk downhill into the reserve. There is a few steep walk down to a dewpond but it's a good area to see dragonflies and possibly Essex Skipper in the surrounding meadow.
