Beautiful place but as a disabled man using a mobility-scooter I had really issues with the steep gradients the path where amazingly paved just not suitable for small boot scooters

What a lovely place to explore! Enjoyed seeing lots of families out and about. And managed to run the 10km around the reservoir myself, with my husband supporting me by bike.

What a phenomenal place, I feel so lucky to have this on my doorstep! I will be back for some cycling, boating, running and axe throwing x

Finally back open after refurbishment and it's beautiful. Lots of new walks, cycle tracks, equipment hire, camping, BBQ and more! Amazing place to take the family! Great place for some pump tracks and cycling. Cycle hire available too!

We were staying at the llys-y-fran campsite, barely 5 minutes down the road and thought we would pop to see the lake... Well, we ended up staying the whole day! And what a incredible day it was!! The views and place itself was absolutely breathtaking, the pictures couldn't even do it justice. There was a lovely little cafe and gift shop, clean facilities and plenty of spaces to sit in or outside. There is so much to do there as well and a wonderful play park for children if you don't want to spend a penny 🥰

Had a great walk around the reservoir.

However, we visited with a family member who is in a mobility scooter and the options on site are very limited. The rough paths and steep slopes made it impossible to get to the waterside even on the east side of the lake where the path is smoother and with fewer slopes.

A short stretch of tarmac between the activity centre and the east side of the lake and reopening the old access to the bottom of the dam for disabled vehicles would make it infinitely better.

Amazing place with something for everyone. Good value for money just £3.00 to park for the whole day. Can't wait to come back with our bikes and kayaks but these can also be hired.

Absolutely stunning! Definitely one for a family day out! £3 (I think) parking for all day and the views are just amazing! The walk around the reservoir is so peaceful and quiet. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!!
