I placed a bet on the Scottish Grand National each way on Ferry Master. The manager asked me to write it out again and put the time of the race. I asked him to check the time and he said 3.15. He processed the slip and handed it back. I tried to cash the slip later as it came fourth and the counter staff said: we can't read your handwriting and you put the wrong time down and refused to pay out. I left as it was a demeaning amount of money to argue about. Make of that what you will. I think of the saying about customer loyalty: 'in like a tortoise; out like a hare'. I believe there are other branches.

Horrible place to go! Staff take ages to put on bets, woman who works in there has not got a clue
