Have been here several times over the years. The staff are always really helpful choosing frames and lenses and kind. Only thing to be aware of is that some of the plastic based frames can stretch over time so consider that as you make your choices.

Until recently, I have been living in a remote part of Scotland and experienced problems in having eye-tests, to the extent of a visiting optician rushing me through a test, and getting it wrong; and then doing a re-test which made things even worse, so I resolved to go elsewhere. Living living remotely, however, meant waiting patiently until that opportunity arrived. On a recent visit to London, I finally managed to see someone at Specsavers in Chiswick (my old optician whom I had visited annually until we moved out of London some years ago). They were thorough in their testing, reassured me about my sight, advised me about my prescription, and which protective coatings to include in the lenses of my new spectacles. I left feeling extremely satisfied at the service given and very pleased with my choice of style of spectacles which a member of staff had taken the time to help me choose. Thank you so much, and see you again in 2023!

I received a warm welcome from the staff at Chiswick Specsavers. It is quite rare to see this especially in big franchises. The lady who conducted my eye test was very warn, friendly and patient and took her time doing my eye test but not too long that it dragged. She was very thorough and did not rush me. That’s what visiting an optician should be about.
Not feeling rushed because the next patient is waiting.
I liked the fact that there were customers of all different ages too! Special thanks to Serjit and riyana! Great team work!

The team at this store was brilliant. Needed an emergency appointment as my eye was randomly bloodshot and I wasn't a patient at this particular branch. They managed to give me an appointment within 30 minutes from when I called. I had a few tests done, everything went great and the scare that I had was no longer there. I can only remember a few names being Meera and Anton. I hope I spelt those names right. The other two names I don't think I got, but let's assume that one of them, their name is Micheal Jordan. Absolute assets to Specsavers the lot of you!! Keep up the great work!!

Had a lovely experience at Specsavers in Chiswick. Staff are super friendly and so helpful. Told them I was in a hurry for my for my eye test and they made sure they were super efficient. I also met a lovely, wonderful member of staff named Florence who was a ray of sunshine and helped me pick my perfect pair of glasses and made sure I got them quickly. Thank you all coming much

Spec savers Chiswick one star.

Details

The reason I am giving this trader a one star is because of their total lack of in store discretion or what seemed like terminal indescretion to be exact after the fourth time of demanding in every increasing decibels, 'what's your DOB' she demands and one of those attempts had been aimed at my daughter.

Some may say having your D1 information touted up and down a quiet store whilst others browse the racks for glasses par for the course these days, well maybe so ...in Croydon, but in Chiswick High Street, I think not, especially after you go to all the trouble of printing off the appointment after booking online 'and ' filling in your (D.O.B) date of birth with the online application 'and' then adding a hand written note as special circumstances on the print off to pass to the assistant on arrival at the store stating you require full discretion regarding DOB as I am an older father and my 9 year who was with me at the time does not know my details BECAUSE ...it would devastate her peace of mind day and night for the obvious reasons !

Even now I bet you still do not have the delicacy of mind to understand why,

Stay away from these inadequately insensitive people, Boots get it, or at least their manager does paper and pen at the ready in all circumstances at the pharmacy, maybe he's from Chiswick not Croydon.
Now I understand why the mood changes amongst friends when you say your off to Specsavers.
I will not be back.

One Star.

I went in for a contact lens check a month ago. Everything was fine initially. I was asked to come back in a week to test the trial lenses they would order for me.

On the next visit, it turned out the wrong lens had been ordered - a typo had been made and lens numbers were wrong. Not a big issue for me, mistakes happen, we're all human.

3 days later I receive another call to setup my 2nd trial contact lens test, and when I ask for the same time as my previous two appointments, I'm told they NEVER do that time - 12.20pm. Pretty odd thing to say when both my appointments have been at that time. Apparently, they specifically don't do trials at that time - well not in my experience just 3 days prior. I ask her to check and she says she'll call me back.

It has now been 3 weeks and nothing. I have been forgotten. Paid upfront for a service they don't seem to want to deliver on. Am I supposed to chase them?

I instantly felt the warm welcome from the team at Specsavers Chiswick, which can sometimes be lost in big chains. Whilst being attentive and helpful, at no time did I feel anything other than relaxed, not pressured and uncomfortable like you can find in situations like this. There was so much to chose from and the lovely Riyana gave me expert advice based on the features of my face and the glasses. Having bought both spectacles and contact lenses from the branch, I came away with designer frames I was looking forward to wearing for work and social occasions. I noticed the store was full of customers of all ages, there is without a doubt something for everyone!
