Awful service, THEY made a mistake with my glasses and sunglasses order which happens, I understand that and was unfazed by this as long as the mistake was fixed. However the manager (? I think she was the manager, she was at least a senior member of staff) acted as if she was doing me a favour by not charging me for their mistake? Instead of being apologetic I was treated like an inconvenience. The problem was that instead of 1 glasses and 1 sunglasses being made for me they made two glasses. So I was told luckily they could have the sunglasses sorted in half an hour. I came back half an hour and I was rushed out the door handed my glasses and told goodbye. No check to see if they fit or anything like that, I was practically pushed out the door. I then got outside and found the sunglasses were not only disgustingly dirty but super flimsy. I've had stronger 3D glasses in a cinema. The dirt took ages to get off without scratching my new sunglasses, Really disappointed and considering changing opticians for sure.

I have tried 3 times to get an appointment here. I am very overdue, due to the pandemic and am at risk of several eye-related conditions so its especially frustrating that I've been unable to be seen. The waiting times even WITH an appointment are insane. Today I was told "There is a minimum wait of 30 minutes, though it could be longer". Ive been with this branch for about 20 years and the service has gone extremely downhill in that time. I think unfortunately it's time to move on. I will be going else where from now on because this place is putting my eye health at risk.

I wish I can give zero stars. Unbelievable how rude and ignorant the staff is in this branch. They act like they are upset with customers coming in. I had the doubtful pleasure to have few appointments since July. For myself and my daughter new glasses. Every time I had to wait really long time. Reason always the same: staff shortage. Recently I came to my appointment at 9.20 only to be told by angry staff member my appointment has been cancelled and she called me and left me voicemail. I asked when she called she said I don’t remember. I checked the phone and it was 10 minutes b4 my app time!!!! No apologies nothing. After my eye test the other day the optician walked me downstairs and said that the staff will help me to choose glasses and will tell me about my glasses options pricing etc. nothing like that happened until I chose my glasses. Than when he sat me down and I started press for pricing options etc he said I can have another pair for free as it is an offer buy 1 get 1 free. I said ok I will take another one. So he said do you want the same one? That’s how desperate he was for me to pay and leave…. I have been treated as intruder not paying customer. I was waiting a lot during my few appointments ( all hugely delayed) and I observed how disrespectful rude and lying the staff is not only to me but all other customers. I don’t know if the problem is with overbooking but their customer service is nightmare experience. That’s last time I spend money here. Will be changing opticians asap for myself and my family and we used to spend a lot of money here for over 15 years. Enough is enough!!!

Specsavers stole my money. I had an eye test, chose and paid £75 for my glasses upfront. Two weeks later I went to collect them. They had no recollection that I was coming, and they had lost the glasses, spent half an hour waiting but eventually they said sorry we can't find them. They said they would contact me when they found them. Its been 5 weeks since I paid for them, I've heard nothing, I have no received my glasses and the local store will not pick up the phone. I want my money back

It was the worse service I have ever received. The lost my glasses when I went for my appointment. They called me to come again saying they found my glass, made me to wait, then said they still couldn't find it. The store manager was very rude and when I told her you just lost a customer, she said that's fine. Absolutely disgusting! I am intended to buy them from vision express.

The appointment system since covid for everything is ridiculous. It’s so slow. I needed a screw added to my glasses and had to make an appt instead of walking in for 2mins, so that it could be fixed. No glasses for 2 weeks is unacceptable and very poor customer service.

Needed an hearing aid so went to Specsavers as they have an audiology department. Very impressed with the staff who work there. Popped in without an appointment last week and just waited 30 minutes to be seen. Highly recommend their services.

My 5 year old daughter went for an eye test and she needed glasses. The optician Nadeen was very patient with her and we came back the next day to have drops put in so they could get an accurate prescription. We did have to wait a bit longer than expected but we got the prescription and came back the next day to look at frames and order glasses. We live abroad and we were leaving 2 days later but the Imran Wahid called the lab and managed to get the glasses made and delivered in time for her to try them on and get them adjusted before we left. Asma helped us 2 days later with the collection. Every staff member was very pleasant and they really went above our expectations by getting the glasses made and delivered in 2 days before we left the UK . It is a busy branch and we did have to wait a bit in store but the service was excellent. Hazel Fish
