I want to warn other members of public not to use this place!! I would give negative star if I could!

Extremely bad quality of service, I had a eye test done here, and I believe they intentionally wrote down the wrong prescription for me, because I didn't want to buy glasses from them! So subsequently I bought new glasses, which did not seem right, I went to a different optometrist to get a 2nd opinion and another full eye test, only to find out the prescription was completely out! So much difference from the prescription Swan opticians gave me that the 2nd optometrist said someone must had given me a wrong prescription, as there is no way anyone could make such a bad eye test!

I think this behavior is so unethical to the point of endangering patients and general public who rely on clear vision for driving and work! Bad prescription also can cause damage to eyes. What this practice did was fully intentional to injure their patients who they were perfectly happy to charge £40 for eye test! Don't do eye tests if all you want to do is sell glasses! If you want to charge people for a service, provide that service to an acceptable standard!

This is borderline criminal not to mention all the lenses I only very recently paid for are now all useless and I intend to make a full official complaint about Swan opticians so that other member of public won't fall into the same situation!

I am venting here also because when I tried to call the opticians complaints office despite being working hour, no one answers the phone! So I decided to post here so they can take note that unethical practice and endangering patients have consequences!

Best experience of an opticians in my 35 years of wearing glasses. From the length of the test (a good 40 minutes compared to the 10-15 in-and-out from high street chains) and an extremely professional and engaging optician to the dispense where I was attended by TWO optical assistants. This is where Swans really came into a class of their own. When I've been to chains before, the moment I've come out of the eye test it was an immediate hard sell whereas here the whole atmosphere was warm, friendly and relaxed. I told them my top budget for frames and not one pair was offered above that and after trying on several pairs that I liked both assistants agreed that the mid-price pair that I'd tried were the ones best suited to the shape of my face. As with the lenses when I plumped for top of the range was told that I didn't need to spend that much as mid-price would serve me just as well (one bit of advice that I did ignore!).
I have to say thank you to the staff who treated me so well in the 90 minutes I was there for your welcome and extremely high level of service and professionalism and also to the friend who recommended Swans to me (something I will be doing in the future).

Recently registered myself and my children and could not be happier with our care. Everyone is so friendly and professional. The boys really enjoyed their eye tests and co-operated far better than they ever have anywhere else due to such a brilliant approach. I have never had such great eye care either. Really thorough, discussed options with me I didn’t even know were possible and helped me make informed decisions. Thank you to everyone at Swan Opticians!
