Very impressed with my experience. Polite and friendly staff & Oliver who carried out my very thorough eye examination was excellent and very knowledgeable. I heard him prior to my appointment dealing with a very young client and his manner was so engaging and fun it was delightful. Was more than happy with the service and price and would definitely recommend. You get what you pay for and I’ll never use a Specsavers or Vision Express style opticians again

Well SEE for yourself. The best Optometrists by many a mile. The staff are all lovely and do there very best for you. I must single out the lovely receptionist Karen, who is a joy to deal with, always a smile, always remembers my name and always chats and helps me. Patrick too, is a star and always manages to turn on the Irish charm and gently persuades me to purchase more than one pair of spectacles - he makes choosing specs a fun experience. On the Science side, Anna and the Optometrists are all lovely people and the equipment is very much state of the art. I feel the health of my eyes is being looked after too, with very intensive tests and people who 'listen' to you as well, rare these days. It is such a lovely place to go and I just wish I could pay a visit more than once a year, although I would end up with even more glasses!!!! So give the true professionals a try for the health of your eyes, they are precious instruments and deserve the best - you will get it here. Cheaper spec people are available, but your eyes deserve you to invest in them. So leave the rest behind and go to the true professionals.

An outstanding opticians and I highly recommend them. I have been going to Bayfields, for me and my young son, for two years and they have fantastic optometrists. They provide a superb service and are so thorough and caring.

Have debated posting this review. I had an appointment as a new customer at the beginning of lock down. Received a call on the Monday morning telling me the appointment cancelled, save for emergencies. I had been suffering severe headaches the day before and was worried if there was something else going on. I related this but was given zero advice. Thankfully headaches have abated, but left thinking choosing this optician in the first place was a mistake. Poor, a bit shabby really and rather unprofessional imo.

Had a great experience!!! Since the new remodel and new staff everything has improved so much. I have autism and find it really stressful to go to the opticians. The lady with the purple hair was really really lovely and treated me well. It made me feel at ease. The optician was autism friendly and well educated on how to interact with autistic people. She explained everything she was doing and didn’t use complicated language etc.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. So friendly! Choosing new frames for my glasses was such a great experience. I cannot recommend highly enough. Audiologist was also full of helpful information without any pressure to buy.

Ive just been for an eye test and some new glasses. The service was excellent and friendly. The staff were charming and very knowledgeable. All round excellent experience. Well done to the entire team!
