Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Newtown

Very poor service , my glasses got accidentally damaged and needed a new arm, I purchased them from Specsavers , they told me they are obsolete and I must buy new glasses. Not good enough these glasses cost a lot and a simple repair should no necessitate purchase of new glasses

Very few appointments but we made ourselves available at the only time given . Test could not be more thorough ,very happy with all staff and selection of frames and choice of lenses . Frames and lenses very good quality and fitted .

Thank you very much to Specsavers, Newtown, particularly Lucy. I phoned on a Friday about a large floater and flashing light in my left eye and was given an appointment the next day, Saturday.
Very thorough examination to put my mind at ease. Excellent service.

I had my eye test on Friday as my distance vision had got worse although my near vision seemed good. The optician confirmed that and said that the near vision was unchanged. So 3 pairs of glasses ordered. When I got home I was comparing my test results which had a near vision requirement of +2.5, not the +3.5 that I have had for 4 years and have no problem with. It was obviously an error so I called the shop that afternoon to explain the situation. No help whatsoever as I just got fobbed off with the lady I spoke who said that the optician I was was one of the best (I agree) and any problems would be sorted out once the glasses were ready in 2 weeks. Why not halt the order and question the optician as there is an obvious error. I have tried +2.5 glasses and cannot read with them unless the page id over a metre away!

Both my husband and myself have been here a few times to have our eyes tested and we both think the staff are really helpful and friendly and the gentleman who owns this branch especially is extremely knowledgeable but also very friendly

I have used Specsavers in Newtown, Powys, for several years now and I've found the staff very friendly and helpful, I am very happy with my new glasses, the fit is good and they feel very comfortable, plus my vision is very much improved, thank you to the wonderful staff at Specsavers, I will be more than happy to continue my visits and see for myself the wonderful service you provide to the community of Newtown.

Best fitting glasses I've ever had. So comfortable and the shape I've been searching for a long time.
