Would not use this opticians has their customers service is appalling. And told my partner that she needed driving and television glasses on the first test. She explained that she could not wear them because she could not see threw them was told to persevere. Went back for second test was told she didn't need them.if you want your eyes tested and a good service go to Specsavers .

Excellent service.

Lee, Becky and Chris served me yesterday. They were all very nice, polite and professional. They go the extra mile to ensure you're given what you went there for.

I'll be getting all my lenses and glasses from there in future.

Cheers folk…

PS, Up your's for leaving, Chris!

Really poor service here. The one lady was really rude both times when we went to look at glasses and wasn't at all helpful. The only reason we bought here is because my daughter really wanted Barbie glasses. They never answer the phone when I call to find out where the glasses are. I've been waiting weeks for them and no answer. Much better service from the opticians across the road, they were lovely and helpful, and the glasses came in within days; luckily we ordered a second pair from there!

A very rude customer assistant here really couldn't help less. Getting her to book in an appointment for my 11 year old who needed a test before his due date because of vision probs was like asking her to donate a pint of her own blood. And she was even rude when I asked her to write the date/time down when I finally got one: to which she replied with teenager-level contempt that I should put it in my phone (which I didn't have on me). Uhm, no ... Or I wouldn't have asked. She perked up considerably and waved us cheerily off when the optician opened their door. Customer services isn't her calling.

Just come out after eye test. Jasper Conran arm fell off when on face. Daughters glasses did the same. Offered £20 off. Absolutely so upset I cannot believe how I was spoken to by both the owner and boots manger !!

Took my son here and as he is underage he gets NHS eye test and coupon for £40 to purchase glasses. They literally had about 4 free pairs that were all tiny so I had to chose a pair that had £70 clearly stuck on the arm of the frame so thinking I'd be paying £30 towards them gets to the till and he charges me £40 when I questioned him he just said "oh the price is wrong on the arm" no apology. Then asks do I want to pay and extra £30 on top for the anit tint and anti break lenses.

Reasonable service for eye test and selecting glasses. However I find it extemely frustrating that while they have a phone number they never answer the phone. Tried ring the main Boots Optician 0345 number and they can't get hold the branch either! Rediculous, need to get hold of them to check whether glasses prescription is ready to collect. I don't want to waste my time and fuel driving out of my way to the shop where you would also need to pay to park, only find that the prescription is not ready - simple tip - PLUG THE PHONE IN / ANSWER IT!

I broke the nylon string on 1 lense of my boots £200 glasses. I took them in and they said 'sorry, unrepairable, the nylon string can't be fixed. shall we order some new ones?'. I look on youtube, got a 2" bit of nylon fishing line and fixed them in under 5 minutes. Quite outrageous.
