I went to Charlton Opticians when visiting the area. Having previously used a chain store, I was impressed with the level of time, care and knowledge provided by the opticians. I was also made to feel very welcome. I needed new glasses, which were ready before the end of my stay. A big thank you and worthy of 5 stars.

Having been disappointed with my current pair of glasses from a high street chain, I decided to go to an independent optican.
The staff at Michael Charlton opticians could not have been more professional or helpful. Nicola the optican gave me a very thorough eye examination and clearly explained what constitutes an eye emergency and what to do in such an event. She could see what the problem was with my current glasses and how they would rectify it.
The ladies spent time helping me pick frames, and didn’t try to rush me at anytime.
I was also very impressed with the Covid restrictions they have in place.
I also found them very competitive price wise and will definitely go back again.
Overall a 10/10 experience!

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in here. Great staff, friendly, professional and caring.
I had brought my grandson (age 3) for his first ever eye test.
He was quite rightly curious and very interested in anything and everything within reach. Nicola was amazing!!
She not only took the time to get down to his level to talk to him, but she showed him what everything did, what it was for, allowed him to look at and hold equipment where possible and made the whole thing fun and relatively easy. So much patience. So caring. I am incredibly impressed. I have told everyone I know about the experience and fully recommend this opticians to anyone and everyone, especially those with children. 5* all the way. Thank you

Fantastic service. I have just moved here and have been to several different opticians in the past but she got straight to the point but was very thorough and friendly in fact I've never had so many routine tests on my eyes and I thought that was really reassuring she also listened to any concerns that I had and was curious to find the problem which is nice to see in a doctor especially optician. Honestly my best experience of an optician by far. She also treated my son and he seem to have fun in that chair. I got queezy after looking at different lenses and she gave me a drink and waited until I felt better. So generally friendly and easy.
