Always great service. The only Specsavers in the area who seem to be able to give myself and my partner the right prescription! Also went in with damaged glasses and they were more than happy to help with the repair of these with no quibbles whatsoever

I was in need of an emergency appointment called was asked if I was a customer I said no so they could not help me despite them being on the Wales Eye care services list, they we not helpful at all.
Won’t be going to them in the future.

Really shocking service today! To the point that I nearly walked out. Always been here without problems. I arrived 5 minutes early for appointment. Had pre tests done and taken down stairs.. was kept waiting for 25 minutes past my appointment start time.. multiple customers with later appointments came and went with other eye doctors in other rooms. Finally my guy comes out not even a sorry I’m running late (despite my appointment being a 9.25 appointment so what the 2nd? Maybe 3rd of the day). The guy looked like he was off his face on something.. it was shocking!! Half the time he asked me to read the screen his head was in the way.. he took forever to do something not sure what he was actually wanting to do. At the end he went to inspect my eyes and then said oh well just give you a test upstairs. I picked out my glasses within 2 minutes and just wanted to do the paperwork and pay and have this test done. 6 members of staff nobody interested in helping despite me standing there looking ready at them.. went back to look at the wall for a few more minutes before just walking up to them and saying I was ready. Was told I had to go wait for my eye scan.. so why could nobody do the glasses paperwork and fitting then just call me for the test?? At this point I had already been in the shop over 50 minutes! I wait for the eye test and was told to keep still multiple times despite being as still as possible only blinking which is natural. Then I went to do my glasses and pay. I was then advised that the eye scan wasn’t in my bill and asked do I have to pay for it, ten pound I’m told! Nobody ever mentioned this being chargeable or the cost!! At this point I just wanted to get out of there otherwise I would have just dumped the whole lot and not looked back. the whole event took well over 80 minutes!! Staff didn’t seem interested.. having used specsavers Blackwood for last 6 years this has really put me off going again. I was pay for my test.. I always get new glasses, which I pick within a minute or so, even if my site hasn’t changed.. I should be an easy sale every two years! 2024 I’m just getting the test done and buying my glasses online..

Great service,, everything from the appointment to picking up new glasses went very smoothly

Went to Cwmbran, to see if my wife could get her glasses fix which we paid £200 for about 20 months ago and was told we don't do them frames on more you'll have to buy new one's, that was about a week ago, then our friend told us to take them to Blackwood specsavers and within ten minutes of being seen to by a lovely girl my wife had them back all fixed, so my advice if you want a warm welcome and excellent service go to Blackwood Specsavers the staff are amazing THANKS XXX.
