Madingley Road Park and Ride

Madingley Road- Cambridge Park - visited during June 2016 & found its finest, beautiful & amazing.It got spacious car park, good bus services availability & clean toilets. Must visit.

Great. Huge car park, plenty of space to park for free. You just pay £3 per adult for a return ticket right into the city centre. They run every 10-15 mins. Much better than driving into the city centre and trying to find parking. Bus can get busy during peak times.

To kick off ,the Sat Nav took me to a dead end no parking residential street via a huge student accommodation estate.
Not so good.
The rest is all good.
Loads and loads of car park spaces.
Good free clean toilets.
A very regular park and ride bus service to the centre of town.
A really solid reason why not to drive into the town.
Best of all , you can use your regional pensioners bus pass if you are lucky enough to be of an age to hold one.
First visit to Cambridge for many a year , but due to the ease of parking here ,we will add Cambridge to our favourite place to visit list.

Nice large park & ride. Frequent buses to city centre & the staff member we saw was very helpful talking to us about the city. (which was helpful for day visitors) Love the fact the buses return quite late in the evening, allowing us to eat before heading home.

Easy to use contactless, bus driver was really helpful & kind. Lots of parking spaces, easy to get to car park, and runs into eve around 8- 8.30pm from city centre to P&R. Can park overnight too. 👍

I notice that Madingley Road Park and Ride went back to free parking and pay for the bus into Cambridge. We hadn't been since before the lockdowns.
Otherwise, an excellent car park with a great bus service using the PR1's to get into town.

So easy to park the car and jump on the buses, which were clean, frequent with friendly drivers. Apart from only a very few bus priority-lane into Cambridge (from Madingley Road Park) which would have made the experience more perfect.

Plenty of space in the car park. The toilets were clean. Bus, service worked well and very often. We missed the first bus which left before we got to the bus stand. The next arrived and we soon left.

The old stinking fossil fueled busses are being replaced with clean and quiet all electric busses. These are excellent and so quiet. Uncanny sitting at the traffic lights in absolute quietness.
