Not my favourite park and ride for Exeter, it's always packed on weekdays but sparsely used on Saturday mornings so it's good for shopping visits. The waiting area has a coffee stall and small shelter and the route in takes you through matford trading estate and past the councils recycling site. The buses are single deck because of the low railway bridge en route and seem to be always packed, I'm often standing. I prefer the Honiton P&R site as its near the motorway and uses double deckers. Also the wait time from the city centre is longer than the Honiton ones.

Left our car at the garage and walked round to Matford Park and Ride. Got straight onto a bus but then waited for 10 minutes for the bus to get going. The roadworks, at the beginning of the ride, were a bit of pain but after we were through them we sped onwards and we got dropped in Exeter centre. A good ride and nice not to have to be concerned about a parking space.

Nice parking ride. It’s free to park although the bus tickets are a tad bit more expensive than a normal fare. That’s fine though and I could afford the ticket fine. The bus ride is convenient and not busy if you get there in the morning. It takes around 10-15 minutes to arrive in the center itself of Exeter. Why I deducted one star is because the bus took quite a while to get going and the bus drove through some rough looking housing estates that you would see in the north, that were quite dangerous.
Other than that, if you don’t want to drive to Exeter city center come here!
Sincerely Sharon Garcia

Fun Fact. Buses leave the city from here as well as the park and ride. Only thing stopping it getting 5 stars is the lack of a massuer to loosen up the shoulder before you take the bus to a stressful day of shopping or working.

Great if you are a regular user. I used it yesterday and there is room for a lot of improvement, 1st saw the sign coming into the city from the dual carriageway, to directed me to the industrial estate then abandoned me,-- after asking numerous people got in sight of it, saw the sign about 30ft after which appeared to be a footpath to it, drove into the large entrance to find there was no entrance to the car park, asked a chap standing at the gate, he gruffly told me to go out around the roundabout, after getting lost again eventually got back to where it looked like a pedestrian path, drove through and found myself in a huge car park, 7-8 busses parked at the end, only just managed to find a space to park, walked to the bus terminal, wanted to use the toilet, it is disgusting, eventual the bus arrived with a very cheerful driver.

What an expensive and pointless park and ride for visitors to Exeter, if there is more than one of you in the car? Parking was free but £4.50 return each for such a short distance,, that amounted to £13.50 for three of us trying to do the right thing to reduce congestion. The information on timetables etc was non existent. The driver was late setting off due to needing a cigarette break??? Really?? Then waited and waited for the return bus to arrive eventually miles off its schedule . Next visit I'll be back to contesting the city roads and parking , as I'm not paying for whatever Exeter Council think that Circus is? No doubt great if you work in the city centre and drive to the park and ride solo.

Great place to park and ride. Signage is a bit painful, missed the entrance on the roundabout(needs improving), which on a busy roundabout is a bit testy. The bus station has buses all over the bottom of the car park so park wisely. Tickets about £9 for the return. Dogs are free.
