Beautiful park, something for everyone. Kids areas, grassy areas for dogs with lots of poo bins, bowling green, bits of history, sensory garden and lots of plants and trees. Took a picture of the beautiful apple blossom this morning, unusual in that today is only the 1st March and its in full bloom.

Nice planning with the flowers. The War Memorial is striking, and the Park's meandering paths make a change from the usual straight lines.

It also feels a little claustrophobic. Hemmed in by residential streets on every side, it feels trapped. And, apart from the flowers, there simply isn't much to look at.

I went to walk the dogs whilst the Mrs went to the dentist.
A lot of parks nowadays suffer from neglect, lack of investment and vandalism. Mercer park bucks the trend. I enjoyed the well tended lawns and separate garden areas. The bowling green looked smart, there was little litter and plenty of things for children and a skate park. The impressive house in the park hasnt any signs up saying what it is or why it's there and I wonder if it's even used. Would make a good tea shop I reckon.
If you're ever in the area check this park out.
On a sunny day it was very pleasant

Needs a lot of improvement in the infrastructure playground is old and dated. Would be much better with a new bigger playground. A miniature railway would work well here too. Was loads better in the past.

I like taking the grandkids here, it's got 2 playgrounds, 1 for little ones & one for older children. There's a skate park, football courts, large open grassy areas, and it's clean & tidy. It's nice even to just wander around.

A lovely park to walk through, lots of paths cross crossing. There is a basketball/football court & small skate park. In one corner there are swings etc for young children .
