Had a little walk around this castle grounds, the park around the site is very well maintained with loads of flower beds most in bloom with seasonal flowers.
Would recommend this place

Wonderful park. Very well kept. Parkrun, crazy golf, pedal boats, live music, play area and deathslide, ice cream, dog walking. Perfect.

This is a great park and pretty much right in the centre of the city. There's plenty of walkways, garden areas, a cafe with a band stand and a small pond with boat hire. I love it here, its quiet, peaceful with loads of seating benches placed around to take stock and take in the numerous views. With areas for kids young and old to run around and enjoy themselves, plus plenty of bins for rubbish disposal and of course a castle at one of the entrances. Fantastic, a real gem, and truly Recommended.

Enjoyed this with 2 year 4 classes. The museum is great and the tour we had was excellent, but that might only be for schools. We enjoyed our packed lunches in the grounds. Beautiful Platinum Jubilee decorations at the time.

Excellent Park👍You can see lots of things here including Roman Wall, Museum and Colchester Castle to understand the history of this very first city in Roman Britain.

It is also an excellent place for children👍Really nice playground with some exciting slides as well. definitely recommended this place👍

A well maintained park with plenty of facilities for the family. There is ample space to run around however the selling point of the space is the layout and design of the gardens. The reason I give 3 stars is that this park does not allow dogs - therefore restricting the beauty of the walk to those without a 4 legged friend.

This review is strictly for the Christmas light walk which was outstanding! Even with the extreme weather conditions including snow, ice and lots of rain the organisers and staff had it nailed down.
Pretty, interesting, interactive and truly magical event, we all loved it. So much we went 4 times and took other family members each time to share the magic. There was even food, drinks and flashing lights merch. I really needed the hot mulled wine at the end of the chilly walk. Perfect!

Well done to all that made the event happen and all the effort put in and probably gave up valuable Christmas family time to make an incredible event for others to enjoy and share over the festive period.

All the top ratings and stars in the world! Thank you!💯💖
