Stoke Common (East)

A large open common, quite wild (at least feels wild, like a mini Dartmoor) but is right in the centre of Stoke Poges, Fulmer etc.

Some flooding in the winter months, can be quite exposed and muddy, and some exits are onto fast roads with no pavements.

Still like this place.
yes, it may not have the toilets, caffes and other creature comforts, but it is a great close to nature place and the one I would love to visit again and again

Very wet with lots of puddles. Even more trees felled, odd with all the talk about deforestation. Great for dig walks though.

Can be very boggy and flooded after rain but otherwise a lovely, quiet, fairly picturesque place for a walk.

Great place. Good for a walk, bike ride or a run. Nature at its best. Wild cattle are there but you'd be lucky to see them as the area is quite large with trees, bushes and thick vegetation. Some parts remind me of New Forest. Most pathways are just gravel with some parts grassy which can get muddy at times. I always enjoy having a break from my bike ride here, sitting on one of the wooden benches while eating my sandwich in a peaceful setting. Well worth a visit.

Great place to walk your dog, as long as your dog is not inclined to run off as there is easy access to the roads with only trees separating it from the common.
