Great place to visit. Volunteers make the tour round the house so interesting.
Lovely grounds to walk round, take you down to the river. Nice little coffee shop too, selling gluten free cakes! Bonus.

Now open after a return and (as of June 2022) currently free. Definitely with the visit for the house and the gardens… the mahogany staircase and the Gainsborough PORTRAIT (not landscape.)

Pleasant open grounds around the house including sporting facilities. The house, free to enter when open, was closed when I was there.

A worthwhile excursion nevertheless giving access to the Thames footpath. A walk along to Richmond is not far.

Beautiful park with sports facilities near the main road. It slopes down to the Thames. An idyllic setting.

Amazing park surrounding Marble Hill, with rugby and tennis courts and a cricket playground.

Wonderful house, very interesting. The room guides were very knowledgeable and had interesting facts to tell the children. The small gardens are being planted up to original plans. I look forward to visiting the grotto when it is completed. The fact that it is free is also a bonus. Definitely worth visiting.

Love strolling around the park looking at **Orleans Park House there ..trees are wonderful and few benches scattered about..

**Cabin toilets on the car parking area **Disabled parking spaces added for ease...
**Cricket is often played here ..

Orleans house will re-open **May 2022, Refurbishment is beginning around the park local ppl walk their dogs here ..
**Children playground on grassed areas ..
Very nice when the suns out ...

**Make sure you're out of the park by 8pm** We got shut in, had to climb the fence to get out, ?(wasn't pleasant)..

The house actually faces the river - from the road you can see the rear. It was completed in 1729 for the mistress of the King, Henrietta Howard.

The grounds consist of many expansive lawns and playing fields - there's also a very good adventure playground.

New regulations mean that professional dog walkers will need a licence to use the park. See their website for details. Dogs can be let of the lead here.

Edit: the house refurbishment has just been completed, and tours around the premises resumed in May 2022.
