Usk Island Play Park

Free parking with toilets two disabled spaces, hot food van soon to try this summer, shallow water near play area for kids to play in, football pitch for a kick about, town near by aswell and Usk valley walk.

Lovely not busy , unless we were just lucky , grandkids had a lovely time paddling in the river , bought them a 99p net to catch things kept them amused for hours , played on the swings etc ...great cheap day out 😀

This park is run down and unclean. Bank holiday Sunday and there was rubbish everywhere and fires from the night before.

Evidence of rough sleeping/camping with hung over adults early on a Sunday morning sitting on swings.

It's a shame as this is one of the best situated parks in South Wales, such a pity its so tired, dirty and not maintained or Policed.

Parked here to enjoy a walk along the river in Usk on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon 😎 My days of playing on the swings are long past but there is a children's playground. Headed over the old railway bridge to enjoy the river view as in photo. Nice gentle stroll back along some rabbit walk (that's what the sign said) to the riverside, over the old road bridge and along the river bank back to the car park =]

Great place for kids for a play or to paddle in the Usk. Popular place 4 dogs and lots of walks start from there.

There are enjoyable walks along the river banks in Usk. There are many cafes and shops within a few hundred yards.On the far side of the river, there are pebbled areas, and above the banks, there are play areas and BBQ facilities with picnic benches.
Adults should be aware of not allowing young children to venture into evan shallow waters without close careful observations.

Lovely place to take the children, a playground, entrance to the river for bathing in shallow water. Shade under the trees. Parking, a short walk away. Only drawback, bbq's being used near childrens play area and in a confined area, shouldn't be allowed.
