Time for me to get to terminal from entry into parking with no luggage (stairs) - 8 minutes
Time to get from terminal to payment machine with luggage (lifts) -18 minutes. Basically by their own fault, I had to pay an extra £6 on top of their already inflated rates.
The staff refused to give me my keys back until I signed the paperwork. No damage to the car fortunately and I almost admire the audacity to treat my car like their own personal ride. Will not use again or recommend to anyone else.
I travelled early in the morning (arriving at 6am) so the roads where clear and there was no issues with traffic. I drove to a McDonalds nearby and parked in the car park until my partner had landed and passed security/baggage. There is NO WHERE to park nearby the airport so I would advise driving to a nearby town and waiting until they are ready to be collected.
I used Google Maps to drive to the car park and found it very easy to locate. Just follow the overhead signs and stay in lane, the signs will take you straight into the car park with no issues. I am not a confident driver in busy areas and I did not feel stressed or anxious at all, it was very well laid out.
Pick-up is located on the first floor (there are signs for this) and there were plenty of spaces available. All available spaces are marked with a green overhead light which is handy. Other reviews mention the spaces being tight but I did not have a problem at all (and I hate parking!!)
I paid £5.50 for 30 minutes, which was more than enough time to get into the car park, collect my partner and get out again. There are pay stations on each level, or you can actually pay contactless at the barrier on the way out. Just insert your ticket and pay.
To exit the car park, follow the overhead signs again. I found them really simple to follow and everything was well signposted. Just drive slowly and don’t be pressured by other drivers.
There’s plenty of spaces, just need to find one can take several rounds. Further away from the entrance is the best place to find a space(as with most car parks)
Bays are a good size and they have a designated area for people to walk on. Car park is clean and seems safe.
Always a line to pay for for your ticket.
