The best place to park when visiting Erewash Valley's "World Monument Site", ""BENNERLEY VIADUCT"" a hidden gem of Victorian engineering that is in the process of being recreated as a walkway and cycle path. From this carpark there are great public footpaths in all directions. I've yet to try all of them! A beautiful place for photography especially sunrise's, sunset's and frosty mornings..

This car park is very handy if you are paying a visit to Bennerley viaduct. It is a compact car park with room for approx twenty cars, so it is advisable to get there reasonably early. From the car park to the viaduct is approx half a mile with all level ground as you will follow the canal towpath.

Barely space for 5 cars. Needs to be loads bigger if it's to serve the viaduct. There were cars parked on the grass as there was no spaces and people were driving off as unable to park.

A handy car park, especially to reach the Bennerley Viaduct.

A nice 40 minute circular walk from here takes you along the Nottingham Canal, onto the viaduct, left again on the Erewash Canal and back to the car park along the Awsworth Road, once you reach Barker's Lock on the Erewash Canal.

The car park is free but only has around 15 spaces.

Lovely area to sit in the car and enjoy a picnic, or pizza, birds song fills the air, ducks quacks from the canal and people walking their dogs or cycling.

Free but very small so you take a chance. We parked on the grass verge as no spaces and no other parking available to visit Bennerley Viaduct.
