The most basic of parking areas, basically packed down hardcore to the side of the road that takes about 8 cars at the most. Can't complain though because it's free to park and is in a remote part of the park. The road there is mainly single track with pull in places for cars coming in the opposite direction. It's a lovely area for a walk.

Moel Arthur's south car park sits on the Offa's Dyke trail and affords a great starting point for an easier ascent of Moel Arthur, and also Moel Llys Y Coed's demanding northern ascent. The parking lot does not accommodate a lot of vehicles but the car park is not often filled. This is a good niche location for this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Small car park so go early at the weekend.
Nice short walk to the top of Moel Arthur.
Decent views from minimal effort.

Free parking, enough for about 10 cars depending on how people park. Stunning views from the top of moel Arthur. Walking routes in all directions from the car park.

Although this car park is close to home we still enjoy the short drive to the car park and then the walk up to the summit of Moel Arthur to take in the gorgeous views across The Vale of Clwyd and most of Denbighshire.
