Peaceful place to visit

Lovely walk partially around the reservoir. Peaceful. However it is stated, on the map at the visitor centre, that there are public toilets here.....there were no toilets open. There is a car park and a couple of picnic benches only.

Not very good for walkers more a fishing bird watching area, which is fine if you’re into that. We’re try somewhere else.

Ideal place to park the car

We parked for free in the North car park which had a sign stating that gates closed at 5pm. We followed the path and circumnavigated the reservoir, stopping for a coffee at the pleasant visitor centre. Much of the route is within woodland and quite slippery in places. It was ok but possibly lost a little by not being in sight of the water for many sections of the route. Take a walking stick to help on some of the slopes and paths with loose stones!

Lovely little car park, easy to access walks.

Just arrived here and the gates were locked. No mention of this on the Google page. Very disappointed!
