Excellent service with kind, friendly staff.
If you are from "The Island of Ireland" then you stand a good chance of getting an Irish Passport.
Also Irish friends of mine have lost passports other problems etc and the help they got here was first rate.
Unfortunately I do not qualify for an Irish passport but most of my immediate family have one.
First rate service and they have toilet amenities here including disabled access.

I had a passport stolen in October and due to work cannot make calls or go online during the Irish passport office hours. When I have had the odd day off I have tried - again today the Webchat doesn't work and there is nobody to answer the phones. I tried the application online and it has rejected both photos and I have no idea why as they were done digitally by a large photo service.

I have now sent an email - who knows if anybody will reply - woefully inadequate service. It simply cannot be possible to still be blaming issues on Covid.....I have put one star on here but so far the service doesn't even deserve that - it's just that apparently I cannot post unless I actually press at least one star!

My first time application (son of Irish born parents) was cancelled after waiting from Nov 2020 until December 2021. The offices needed a witness form sent to them again (my original expired after 6 months), and after they told me they can wait longer then originally expected for me to get one sent out to them, they cancelled my application anyway. Now the offices are refusing to refund me after originally telling me it would be with me in 40 working days. "Your refund will be issued in due course."?! Don't know who else to talk to or what to do about the situation. The process simply isn't adequate at all.

Hopeless. Make you fill in endless forms, send original documents, don't accept the written witness verification of a priest because 'we couldn't get a reply when telephoning to question him'. Send out more forms. more original documents. Eventually got passport after a year. Now they've lost my original documents. Documents are not returned using registered, trackable post. I've called Dublin umpteen times, waiting hours on the phone. They don't reply to emails. So unhelpful. Chaotic system. They need to use a bonafide system of verifying applicants without putting original documents in the post.

I sent my documents in only to receive them back 3 months later as they had been passed to the wrong office. I did ask if they could send them on to the appropriate one but they said they can’t do that 😡 and no passport. Absolutely fuming and a waste of valuable time.

I had to get a Freedom of Marriage document done quickly and they had it back to me in a week. Very professional and easy to deal with which is surprising when dealing with Beaurocracy

Thank you to Rob and that nice lady who helped me get my passport renewed urgently. By giving me an honest time estimation they saved me an unnecessary trip back to Ireland, which would have been a similar turn around time. They called and emailed me once my passport arrived too. Would certainly recommend them to anyone who looses their Irish passport in London!
