Went in seeing from outside a good number of cakes on display. Paid £4+ to try out a slice of a coffee-based cake only to realise that the food visible from outside were in fact left uncovered inside the shop and we were being given stuffs that have been kept uncovered for the entire time they were there (and God knows how long that is!).

But we were tired and in a hurry and hence didn't have time to bother. One bite of the cake and we both looked at each other: it tasted stale and dry, as if it's gone bad. We didn't think it wise to have the rest of it; so decided to bin the rest, and went ahead and talked to one of the staffs. Usually, we wouldn't do this, but it was difficult to look past the fact that the cake wasn't just "not fresh", it was old and had definitely gone bad. The staff apologized profusely and insisted that we take back the money we had paid for the cake. However, when asked when the cake was made, they weren't sure.

You will need a big stomach... you are going to want to eat every dessert.
This patisserie is located in a little place, but it has a delicious variety of cakes, biscuits, ice cream, drinks, and coffee.
Right in the City Center you can visit it every time you pass by, and taste a different one.

Order from Deliveroo, the order I received was missing the icing and it also had mold on it. I would avoid this place.

Like other similar reviews, my friend and I were walking passed and the cakes on display enticed us in. I paid £7 for a cinnamon bun and a smashing pumpkin slice to takeaway, which was on the expensive side. The cinnamon swirl was tasty but the pumpkin slice was stale, dry and incredibly hard, it also tasted like it was going off so I chucked the majority of it away. Not surprising as the cakes aren't covered. Not impressed, expensive and waste of money. You've seen all the bad reviews saying the same thing so why don't you do something about it?! Covering up cakes for freshness isn't going to cost you much at all!

I would give this place a zero star as they don’t even deserve it. But that’s not possible, so I would just give them unwillingly this 1 star. Avoid this place. Standard of service is so bad that I think you wouldn’t enjoy eating here. The waffle I ordered the other day was really hard and was burnt. Tried to talk to the ONLY staff ( apparently is also the OWNER of the cafe) but he was rude and always reply in a condescending tone! #disappointed!

Very disappointing - dirty tables, unappetising food. We ordered pancakes and the toppings were very poor, bacon so thin it didn’t taste of anything. Man serving was friendly - only positive.

The window with the cakes and tarts and baklavas looked enticing from the outside. So, after we decided what we wanted to buy, we went inside -- where this window is no longer visible. How do they expect customers to describe what they want if they can't see it? Why is this window isolated far behind the counter and visible only from outside? Indeed, I have never seen a pastry shop with this layout for their window. You can't even point to what you want to order, you just have to say the name of your chosen cake.
Anyway, we told the person behind the counter what we wanted. He seemed to understand. He put our two slices of cake in a little box, and we left.
When we arrived home and opened the box, what a huge disappointment! Firstly, only one of our two orders was correct. The other one was something completely different, a strawberry tart which we hadn't ordered. The correct one was a pecan chocolate loaf. Which was inedible, with a bitter burnt taste and stale, so stale! Everything in that window seems to have spent there days or even weeks, exposed to the air 24 hours a day. As for the not-ordered strawberry tart, it was really mediocre. The pastries in any supermarket are far better, and definitely fresher.
We are never going back, this is for sure.

Such a lovely place and people for a good cuppa and a large selection of vegan cake. This carrot cake was so good. 😊
