Profound fitness has changed my mindset. I’ve been with Mike Wilson for nearly 2 years now and he has given me confidence in the gym and on the basketball court. He has given me a huge edge over my competition as I can now jump higher than I ever would have been able to accomplish by myself and I can now comfortably dunk. His help is a very large reason why I’ve had success on the court. He has helped developed my technique for things like squats, deadlifts and jerks flawlessly. I couldn’t imagine where I’d be without Mike Wilson and Profound Fitness.

I have been training with Profound fitness for over a year. Mike’s knowledge and expertise ensure that he has progressed me in all my goals, main one being to perfect my dunk on the basketball court. It’s always hard work and he always pushes you outside your comfort zone but it’s the only way to get results! Bring on the next set of goals!

Working with a personal trainer makes sure you're doing the right things in the right order at the correct pace (I'm lazy if I go to the gym by myself). The trainers at Profound are very experienced and make an hour of exercise and sweat pass quickly by making it fun. The parking is easy and the space has quality equipment. I'm getting fitter and thinner. Highly recommended.

Tom Keating has been my PT for a while. Main reason for a PT was for weight loss and to strengthen my back up after a back operation. Tom is a friendly instructor and has the ability to keep you focussed through the session and works you hard each time.

We do a lot of circuit training where Tom swaps things around every session to use different muscles and to make things more interesting.

Massive weight loss of 46 pounds and fitness levels have increased, would definitely recommend Tom.

I started training with Mike two years ago, when I felt I needed to understand more about strength training and how to do it most effectively. I had been going to the gym for about a year prior, but had never really noticed any changes. After I began to train with Mike, this changed a lot! He taught me the correct ways of training using weights, which was much more advanced than what I was previously doing. He also explained to me the science behind all of these adjustments and gave me guidance on my nutrition. I quickly began to see results and am so pleased of where I am today, which I would not have been able to achieve without Mike. As well as seeing results, I also have so much fun and really look forward to training with him, he makes every session fun and pushes me to achieve my best. I fully recommend Mike, but be prepared to be sore the next day!

I was gifted 4 PT sessions with Mike at Profound Fitness for Christmas, and I could not be more amazed with the results! I had been weightlifting for over 2 yrs prior, but had reached a plateau with my lifts and couldn't seem to increase them. Mike absolutely turned this around - he corrected my form, gave me all the right pointers and since then I've been hitting new PBs left, right and centre! Mike's approach is extremely personal and he knew exactly how to tailor my plans to suit me and my goals. I would, without a doubt, recommend Mike to help push you a little further than you can push yourself!

I started training with Mike 9 months ago as part of my recovery after breaking my back. The structured training sessions with Mike have allowed me to increase my strength and fitness much more than I was anticipating. His sessions are never easy but they are definitely worth it with the results!

I use the Profound Fitness space in Mayford to train my clients and it's brilliant for both them and me.

It's not too big (not tiny either) so it's not overwhelming and you don't feel like there's a load of stuff you don't know how to use.

They do have a limit on capacity but it never feels restrictive. It's also a gym WITH windows, that CAN be opened. So you can get a lovely bit of fresh air whilst your working out.

There is some outside space too which can be really useful and fun in the summer.

It is a bespoke service and it's by appointment only. You're not sharing the space with other people. It makes it a really nice place to train, whatever your aim.

In my experience I've always found the booking appointments at the PF gym very easy, there is free parking and there's always a space or two available.
