I have used this kennels on several occasions for my show dogs, dalmatian and miniature schnauzer. I first needed to find a kennels in an emergency when the kennels I had been using closed. I called at the kennels unexpectedly and the staff were polite and helpful and willing to show me round despite the fact I had not made an appointment. Although there had been no advance warning of my visit the kennels were spotless and all the boarders seemed happy and contented.
On each occasion my dogs have boarded they have been returned to me happy, healthy and in pristine condition.
Due to family illness I have needed to board my dogs more than usual and it is very reassuring to know that Linda and her staff take such good care of the dogs.
On my most recent visit my dalmatian Caper was entered in a breed championship show the day after he left kennels. Dog About Town kept him in superb show condition and returned him to me ready for the show ring. To my delight he won a large class and qualified for his KC Stud Book Number and the judge commented on his excellent condition. As a dog owner, breeder and exhibitor for the past 35 years I feel very comforted to know that when my dogs need to be boarded such good care will be taken of them. I would not hesitate to recommend the kennels.

We've had our Westie puppy for the less than a week now and he's already making us extremely happy. He is fearless and other than a little grizzle when we go to bed he is a great sleeper. Linda and the lady she works with (sorry didn't get a name) were both lovely and gave us lots of information and I feel confident if I have any worries they will be happy to help.

Booked our dogs in for the weekend after paying them a visit and was dealt with by Amelia who was pleasant and friendly.

However on Friday 27th May, we come to drop them off, and the owner (Not Amelia) decides, without even meeting or seeing our dogs, that they are a nasty breed, need to be watched, and will board them on this occassion but not board them in the future.

Not very professional to say the least. Ameila heard what had happened
and tried to console my wife and apologise. She felt awful, but it was not her fault. Amelia assured us that the dogs would be looked after by her, however after leaving them and driving for 5 minutes, we felt uncomfortable leaving them with such a judgemental owner of the establishment. We cancelled our hotel, as we were going away, collected our dogs to return home with them.

I would advise anyone who has not used this place and has a large breed dog, not to bother. You get one chance to make a good 1st impression, and the owner of this place failed in epic fashion.

Telling us our dog is nasty and implying it's dangerous without even seeing it, is beyond belief. I hope she gets judged and treated the same way in the future.

This is not even worth the 1 Star rating.... It should be a minus

When I first walked in the whole place was spotless from top to bottom, the staff were thorough with their questions about my dogs wants and needs which instantly put me at ease. When I collected the pooch she was happy and her tails was wagging before she even noticed I was there. Already booked in for her next stay in November!!! Book early though because this place is in demand!!

I used to take my old precious furbaby Frankie here after viewing various dog care facilities.
I liked what facilities they had (no horrid cages) and more than that you can see Amelia and staff really care about the pets in their care.
Walking in to find a massive bowl of scrambled egg being whipped up to feed all the dogs initially surprised me, until she explained about how many dogs they have with separation anxiety and often won't eat dog food but generally will eat scrambled egg and cheese etc. I knew then this place really understood dogs so was the place for my anxiety ridden Frankie. So now we have 2 other puppies, I wouldn't take my baby's anywhere else.
Thank you Amelia and team. See you next time love and licks...

I cannot believe these despicable people can still sell dogs or have a service at all. If any of you have a precious animal, please do not send your dog here or most importantly buy a dog from these people or this business. My family member bought a little pup a while ago, nothing at the time was particularly worrying expect the owner was a little cold and not the best experience with her. When taking the pup home ( who was also quite alot older than the age that pups would normally be bought at ) it was extremely static and scared. We thought this might just be a phase and didn't worry about it too much. As time went on , and to this day she suffers from absolute crippling anxiety of people, dogs, noises and the outside. It so deeply upsetting to see our pup unable to live a truly happy life due to these people. We've had a wonderful trainer and seen vets who've all explained that it's clear these pups have just never been socialised or shown love before and have experienced trauma that pups Should just never have to experience. Please, for whoever reading this, do not for anything buy your pup from here or send it to be looked after with these people. I recommend buying from a breeder who was recommended to you by people you know or making sure it comes from a family environment and not what seems like a puppy farm.

My girlfriend bought a puppy from here. It was about 3/4 months old. The lady selling it said it was a healthy confident independent dog. We got it home and the puppy was terrified and anxious of everything and everyone, it also threw up every meal we gave her. She was very thin and really was filthy too. It has taken the puppy a long time to feel safe, it is still scared of noises and people and is too scared to go for walks. I dont think this puppy was given any human contact or love at all.
