I called in to check if they had any hamsters in stock and Becky was very polite and helpful and was happy to answer all my questions. My partner and I popped in that same day to make a purchase and Kevin was very helpful in assisting us in choosing what was best for us and provided clear advice on how to care for our new pet.
This was my first time visiting The Ark and the team made a very positive impression. Thank you team, I will certainly be coming back!

Can't really fault this place, great customer service and a good selection of products to choose from. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. There is also parking right outside free for 2 hrs!

Absolutely lovely staff, We travelled a long way for a bearded dragon and Matt was so so helpful. She's the happiest little Beardie, very well looked after and extremely well handled. You can tell they care. Thank you so much Guys. X

Visited The Ark for the first time today. The ground shop shop feels claustrophobic didn’t go upstairs. Staff all stood together as you walk in and made me feel rather intimidated and unwelcome, with a salty attitude.

A good little shop with a range of pet products on offer. The guy in the reptile centre upstairs was very willing to help. Great to see the reptiles all in suitable sized enclosures. Would be nice to see the hamsters downstairs given some larger encloses too, though they all seemed happy and in good health.

Been in twice. Unimpressed by staff on both occasions. Wanted to make an effort shopping locally. Most recently wife went in a couple of days ago, at 1710, asked for help regarding most suitable toys for a puppy but the four staff members seemed more interested in trying to close early. She also saw them all together laughing at her behind her back. Very intimidating for a non English speaker. They had a really good opportunity there to provide guidance for a new puppy owner with long term returning business. will just make the trip to Pets at Home who are lovely and offer time and support.

I bought a hamster and was told the carrying box would last until I got home. The hamster escaped within 10 minutes and I was petrified to drive realising the hamster could be anywhere. I had to drive all the way back costing me a lot of money in fuel especially during rush hour traffic. I got back to the pet shop to ask for help and a bunch of teenagers came out like "oh well he's not in the front" haha u think?! So I got him home and he was traumatised and scared me thanking I'd make him more anxious. I contacted the manager direct who sounded very inexperienced and she was VERY patronising saying "you do realise that hamsters chew?" I know she is probably under a lot of pressure in retail but this was so unhelpful and dumb. Not a single apology. Of course I knew that. I think these guys need training and possibly tupperware before they cash in on beautiful animals. Also - they have very loud animals (birds and guinea pigs) next to the rodents which is HIGHLY distressing to small rodents. Please don't buy here and go to pets at home (where they're actually trained) x

We've recently starting buying our pet products here. Really friendly staff and very helpful. Great variety of products and lots of great products for our Puppy. Really nice to be able to support a local business with reasonable prices. Plus location is great, due to 2 hours free parking.
