Update. Bought 2 fish from elsewhere. Both still alive

Bought 2 fish from here for my 2 year old daughter. Within 7 days one had passed away whilst one was still alive. Contacted the customer service who were more helpful than the actual store. They advised to take receipt back to the store as they had already explained the situation to the manager. Arrived at the store with the email from CS and receipt to be told they needed a sample of the water. Asked to speak to the manager who was aware and to be fair gave us a new fish without any problems. 10 days later this new fish as I type the has also just died. Whilst the one of the two from the start is still alive. Don't buy your fish from here. It's literally pot luck. Have emailed Cs and waiting for another response. Will be going elsewhere to get my 2 year old a different fish.

Don't normally write reviews but visited Brynmawr store to buy food for our poorly pooch. Helped by Rhys the store manager, he gave loads of good advice. What a helpful person! Don't see that often these days. Amazing service!!!

Always sold out of cat litter with only a few expensive items left. Whenever I question this which is EVERY TIME I go here they say its sold out nationwide. I then miraculously manage to get it in Blackwood instead. Tip, if you're running out of something every week for months you need to order more to retain your customers. I won't even bother driving to this one anymore, I'm just wasting time and fuel to be told to come back another time, another time when they'll be sold out again because it sells the day it arrives. The staff don't even try other stores, they just repeat themsleves and say its sold out like I can't see that fact already with how empty their shelves are. It's also super expensive in pets at home but that's irrelevant because it's just the prices on tickets, getting the actual item requires waiting a week and rushing down at 9am just incase somebody else buys it before you even get a look in.

Manager totally unhelpful and contradictory information given.
Only interested in sales and not complaints .
Will avoid in future.

Sales guy clearly knew I wanted help, kept avoiding me then went out the back so I joined the queue for the lady at the desk to ask for assistance. He came out and she asked for help he said no I go home in 10-15 minutes.... all I wanted was 10 shimps... wouldn't have taken him 2 minutes! Very very rude I think.

Visited a second time and his lack of customer service to another lady was just as brilliant as it was to me on my first encounter of him.... I think he needs a new job!

Very helpful staff. Not as much stock/choice as some stores.
