Further to the below review, in complete contrast to my last visit, Helen was an absolute star. She actively explained the process and timescales of repeat requests and was extremely helpful.

Helen and the other lady that helped me today (short grey hair) were absolutely fantastic. Thank you.

The staff serving are wonderful, friendly and always quick to help. Unfortunately the pharmacist working today( didn't get his name) advised me the item I requested 28days ago is not in stock and they need to order it in. Despite being advised it would be ready for collection today with other meds I collected.

Pharmacist lacks active listening skills. He repeatedly told me the patient should take control and order this medication themselves. I explained that I had ordered/requested a repeat for this medication through this pharmacy 28 days ago. Pharmacist kept repeating the above until the penny finally dropped that the meds should have been ready to collect today but the pharmacy had not ordered it in. Hence it not being available to collect on pre advised collection day. Pharmacist was rude.

I am a 41 yr old woman.I worry how he speaks to elderly/vulnerable people. I am now aware it is possible to use the app for updates on prescriptions to prevent wasted trips to the chemist. I may consider this but feel this particular Pharmists people skills need addressing.

I've been moving around various pharmacys over the last 2 years as just about everyone cant seem to do a basic task of ordering and actually finding my prescription on their shelf every month.

So far these Guys have been painless, order though their app every month and thats it, I get a message saying its ready. and then I go in and they can actually find it on the shelf which is a first, no waiting or having to walk around town waiting for them to sign it off.

They have a new automated robotic system so there's not really any excuse I suppose for them to loose anything.

Updated June 2022: this looks like a shiny new pharmacy but it's basically just a new location for what was Manor Pharmacy on the other side of the road. The problems I described in my review below still persist in the location. Avoid.

I really want to like this pharmacy. It's spacious and the staff seem friendly. I switched to them at the start of lockdown and have had 4 prescriptions sent there by my GP since. They are incredibly slow. I've tried varying the time I visit but even when I'm the only patient in there it takes them several minutes to track down my script, then 10-15 minutes to prepare it (it's never done ahead of time). They're very well staffed but no-one ever tells you why it's taking so long. In these days when we're meant to be social distancing and avoiding spending time indoors I don't want to spend 20+ minutes hanging around in a pharmacy when I've made the effort to get my prescription sent there ahead of time.

So they didn't want to sell me a P product at 1pm, because I showed up during pharmacy lunch break, which ends at 2pm, although about 4 pharmacists were there standing around. We should all respect our lunch break like these ladies do!

Dire service and organisation. Three months on the trot they failed to put through medication request to my GP and three months on the trot I've had to spend all day chasing it. Last time I asked to speak to the manager and was told "We don't have a manager, nobody's in charge", which explains a lot.

Outright rude! I asked if I can be notified by text or any other means when my repeat prescription is ready for collection in the next few days. I was told this service is not provided. When I replied that Lloyds, Boots and other pharmacies at my previous address in another town used to provide this service, I was curtly told ‘it is your responsibility to collect your medication, we can not tell you when it is ready for collection’. So off I went to Boots who were polite and understood my need.

My elderly father has needed a lot of new medications lately, so I've been visiting this pharmacy quite frequently on his behalf. On some of these occasions I've not had all the right information and therefore often been unable to work out quite what it is I'm meant to be collecting. But Manor Pharmacy have been helpful on every occasion, and taken time out to explain what the drugs are and how dad needs to be taking them. On the latest occasion they hadn't received the instruction from the surgery, so they looked up where it had got to for me. All three staff members were on the case – super-helpful to me, after a busy and stressful day.

My wife suffers from MS. She went to collect her prescription today and queued for 40 minutes outside in the cold with me. When she went inside she was told to wait while they bagged her pills. After another 20 minutes they told her to come back later and it would be ready. After another 50 minutes wait outside and inside they said they could not find the prescription. Despite have the pills behind the counter and knowing that it is a monthly repeat prescription they refused to give her temporary supply and told her to ring 111. A number of other customer experienced the same customer service. This branch needs to lose its licence!
