Not sure why this pharmacy is so busy, considering that the adjacent surgery is pretty much closed to patients at the moment. Had a prescription issued by the surgery during a telephone consultation and sent to the pharmacy early in the day. Popped in to collect only to discover that it was closed 1-2pm with what looked like a temporary sign on the door, although later it turned out that there are loads of them displayed throughout the store so probably always closed 1-2pm at the moment. Anyway, went back later about 5pm. Huge queue outside, and that was just to get into the next queue inside. Eventually got to the counter. The girl checked that the single item was in stock and tantalisingly showed it to me. Then I was sent to wait outside in the cold for about 20mins while it was "made up" whatever that means. (I guess in the olden days pharmacists had to grind up eye of newt or whatever but things must be simpler now). Why can't pharmacies just "make up" prescriptions when they are received so that they are ready for collection? Grrr.

Been coming here for years(since it opened) but have now transferred to Paydens in Brighton hill due to the serious supplier problems that this branch of Boots has. There are medications that we need which are rationed by the supplier due to a misguided belief that they will prevent it falling into the wrong hands, because this is a drug that can be abused. In practice it makes no difference of course because we need what we need and have a prescription for it. The actions of the moronic suppliers causes many problems for us but makes no difference whatsoever to the supply of substances to the black market. However paydens do not have such idiotic suppliers so we have now gone with them. Also it is very difficult to get hold of them, due to the fact that they rarely answer the phone.staff generally are o.k but the branch obviously has serious management problems.

Information incorrect, closed Saturday. Ridiculous to close both days, prevents the most vulnerable from accessing medical care

They close at 1 to 2pm for lunch break. Wish it was shown and phone line is not available to make a swift call that I am coming to collect prescription.

Always have got on with the staff at this chemist but today I was very disappointed with the 2 newest girls working there are rude and think that they are better than their customers. Basically while serving people they shock their heads and was huffing.

The reason the service is slow has little to do with staff and management at the branch and everything to do with the Boots company ethos!
The branch is far to small for the amount of people it is being asked to serve. A far better plan for the pharmacy would be remove most of the sales floor. There are five supermarkets in walking distance selling nappies, sunscreen, toothpaste, & shampoo cheaper!
My guess would be because of shape and eye lines within the shop, more is pilfered then sold anyway!!
Extend pharmacy stock and staff numbers to cope with demand!
Most of the problems of miserable staff(?),
Poor customer care, and Slow service, would disappear almost immediately!!
Plus the chemists would be dealing with its key role -Pharmacy Demand!!

Extremely slow service, quite rude staff when they want to be, empty shelves in store. Would rather go to the next town by foot than use this chemist.

Shame the staff are so run off their feet all the time in this chemist, no matter the time you go there is always only one serving customers, one sorting out ordering, one stocking shelves, two out back having a giggle helping pharmacist and the que is out past the church winding down the street!! Something not quite right here wonder if you can see what ?? ... 🤔
