The staff is very unfriendly, especially the woman who work there, cause I only talked to her.
We went inside cause we wanted to see if they had one thing that we wanted to buy. The lady who works there was talking to the client on the other side. After 1 min she turned around and said to us if we can leave the shop and wait outside cause there Is too many people - apart from us there was a man with whom she spoke and the other man was sitting on the armchair far from us. I nicely said ok and I asked her if she only could tell me if they have one product that I want. She pretended not to hear me. Than the person that was with me asked once again but louder if she only could tell us one thing. She looked at us again and she accidentally said "whaaaat?" "I do not have time, I'm serving someone. " And then we said, ok we understand, but only tell us if you have this product. And then she grunted with the frown on her face that she doesn't know what that is. I said anyway, thank you and I left the shop. I will never come back there again.
I would wait outside for my turn. No problem. But if she could tell me if I have to wait, cause they have what I want why she didn't do that? There was no point for me to wait outside if they didn't have it. This situation inside did not last even 40 seconds. And the man that she was serving was not angry that I asked her about sth. She had wasted the same amount of time on this whole situation and on paying attention to me.
Not only she did not answer to my polite question and also she was rude. If she wants to work with people she needs to learn how to be nice and professional. I have not encountered such rude service since a long time.

Appalling service, or should I say lack of. I went to this branch on Monday 10th of August to drop off a DPD package, for pick up.
I told a lady at the counter that I was here to drop off a package. She responded by saying "we don't do it here". I asked her to provide a reason, to which, she repeated the above.
After being persistent and asking for a third time to be provided a reason, she took a few seconds before answering in a non persuasive manner that due to COVID they don't do it at the moment.

This was a surprise to me as I had just come from the other Rowlands Pharmacy on Albert road who couldn't do it because they did not remember how to manually process the package due to the device not working. I was advised that the inability to manually process the package was due to not having used the system for 4 months due to lockdown, therefore they did not remember how to do it.

This prompted me to think that something was strange about the response of the staff (in Fratton) advising that they couldn't provide the service advertised on DPD's website due to COVID.

I called DPD afterwards who assured me that this branch should have provided the service as advertised due to no service disruption having been recorded.

The reason why I am taking my time to record this, is because I DO NOT like being LIED to.

Either get your fingers out, learn the customer service skills which you clearly lack and provide the service, or stop wasting our time and discontinue this partnership you have with DPD.

This message is also directed to the management team- by reading other reviews, you assured that you strive for a high standard of customer service care. My experience demonstrates that necessary actions haven't been carried out since previous reviews to ensure that your staff behave appropriately. Please, do what's required to change this, because so far I am not impressed.

Have been using Rowland’s for many years to get my mothers medication, But have now changed do to the organised chaos that appears to be going on there. I phoned and was told medication was ready for collection but on arrival I had to wait outside in the cold along with many other elderly people some in mobility scooters for a total of 3hrs. On getting into the premises was the told that they didn’t have the meds. It then took a further 10 days to get which I then picked up from another chemist. The shop has two doors and is big enough to allow customers to enter and still social distance go in one exit the other no problem why is this so difficult other chemists do it with one door, also whilst waiting outside there was only one employee on counter and at least six behind counter not social distancing and laughing that constantly looked over to the front of shop to see how many people were waiting but did not seem to bother them. And then 20 minutes before the shop were due to close they called every one in so they could lock the doors which was about 20 of us into the shop which we all social distanced ourselves.
So sad a chemist that has been there for years being ruined by bad management.

Used them today and found the staff very helpful.
Only had a part of my medication due to shortages but gave the information I needed to not stress about it.

I’ve used this place for years but it’s gone very down hill in customer service and supply.
They don’t realise they’re messing with peoples health!

I strongly advise not to get your medication from here and just go a little further and find a reliable pharmacy that’s organised and professional.

The place is not wheelchair or pushchair accessible at all. Today I wanted to buy an important medicine and couldn’t enter with my baby push chair and no one came to offer me any help so I had to go to another pharmacy.
