Paydens Pharmacy (Loose Rd)

Went to to the pharmacy today to use the Minor Ailments Scheme. It was a wasted trip because despite the website making it clear no appointment was necessary there was no eligible pharmacist on duty who could issue medications under the scheme.

I had some limited advice via a member of staff who was not actually a pharmacist.

I think any pharmacy who is signed up to this scheme should have the correct staff available during the relevant hours.

Purchased vitamin D for my baby in December 2018, only to discover later that instead of 2 year vitamin validity or at least a year, the vitamin expiry date was Jan. 2019. So just a month to use all those drops that’s in the bottle. Tried to ask if not for replacement then at least discount on a new bottle as I think it’s outrages to sell someone vitamin that literally expires in a month!!!!! Pharmacy response was that they rotate their stoke regularly and that at the time of purchase vitamin was still in date, & suggested I purchase a new bottle there. Shocking response. So not only you ripped me off by selling me goods that are about to go out of date, goods to be used for newborn but now you want me to purchase same goods again from you. I immediately informed all members of my family that despite it being our local pharmacy, we will never be purchasing anything else from there again. If you do purchase goods from there, CHECK THE EXPIRY DATE. Note to the pharmacy: you obviously not rotating your stock well enough.

Excellent service always. Efficient staff and the male pharmacist (can't remember his name) is very helpful. Never have a long wait there. Good stock of cards and a few gifts and make up. Good parking round the back. I wouldn't go elsewhere. Even during lockdown, they have remained quick, friendly and efficient.

Massive thank you to Paydens for going the extra mile this morning and delivering my medication. Our household has been visited by COVID and the medication was needed urgently.

Absolutely shocking attitude from the pharmacist. Initially said was happy to deliver them called not happy after nomination - (tricked into by the way) then rude , abusive. Like other reviews, requires customer service training!!!! Also began speaking in punjab and rude

Changed from another pharmacy and really glad I did. Very professional, efficient and courteous.

I have always found the Pharmacist very helpful and willing to spend time to discuss even the smallest problem. His advice has often saved me having to consult my GP. Prescriptions are always dealt with efficiently by the approachable and friendly staff. The shop is well stocked with a variety of medicines, cards and other useful items.
