Came to the pharmacy to get travel vaccinations. The whole process was quick and easy. The pharmacist Marty was really kind, gave me great advice on my vaccinations and was very understanding when I felt unwell after the injections. I would definitely recommend.

I went to the pharmacy for my travel vaccinations and both times I went, the personnel was extremely lovely and friendly. Very quick service and I found their recommendations - on which vaccinations to do for my travel - very honest and professional.

Staff are quite impolite and seemed to judge me on my appearance as a young Muslim woman and assumed I was wrongfully claiming that I did not have to pay as I have a PPC (I pay towards my prescriptions monthly as I have eczema and need topical creams regularly). Upon looking at my certificate which is expired - I believe they are in the process of sending me out an updated one, the staff member insisted I have to pay, to which I checked my bank records to ensure that payment had been taken for this month which would mean my PPC was still valid even if I didn’t have an updated card. The woman behind the counter then interjected as the woman serving me was not well informed on what a PPC was (disgraceful), and rudely said “well if she’s ticked it then that’s her problem”. I felt very targeted and uncomfortable through the whole 15 minutes I was made to wait as I felt like the other patients were staring at me following the loud altercation at the counter.

Once my antibiotics were ready, the lady did not bother calling out my first name, instead referred to me as ‘Ahmed’ which is very draconian and offensive as my first name is not hard to pronounce. All other ‘English’ looking patients were called by their first name... must be nice!

I will not be coming here again, will stick to my regular Clockwork Pharmacy on Caledonian Road, and god forbid I need to access a pharmacy out of hours (as I did today) then I will go to the boots on Euston road as that closes at 9pm.

Left my mother without her medicine for two days because they said she hadn't ran out (she obviously had), when I spoke to them and went to pick it up finally, they asked me to come back at a later time. When I returned they left me waiting over half an hour again after saying it would be done. Not the first time this has happened. Usually left waiting even if there isn't a queue.

Had to switch pharmacies because of how often these things have happened.
2 stars as there is one member of staff (Asian lady who wears a headscarf) who is helpful and does her best to sort things out.

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to! Staff are rude and unhelpful, always mixing up my prescriptions. They have no idea what they're doing! I've had to change pharmacies and the high level of efficiency of my new pharmacy really highlights how bad this one is. avoid at all costs.

I have been using the Douglas Pharmacy for over 4 years and they’ve always been very professional and helpful with queries and prescriptions. I’m also very grateful to a staff member who went the extra mile and really helped me get a prescription when I was going through a particularly hard moment in my life.

Should have written this review year's ago. I have been a customer of Douglas Pharmacy for over 10 years. in my option, experience and from what I hear from other people regarding other pharmacies, I can say without hesitation that they truly are the best. While no pharmacy is perfect it I have always found Douglas to be quick and efficient in sorting out any issues that arise. Combined with their friendly and knowledgeable approach to their customers, they get Five Stars from me. Size doesn't really matter, they serve Richie Street Group Practice patients as well as others in the community and I've never known them to take longer than 20 minutes. During my custom I only ever had one complaint (with a pharmacist/assistant that had never seen before or since). Even then, the lead pharmacist took over and resolved issue with apologies within 10 minutes. An excellent compliment to an outstanding surgery.

The staff unhelpfully hide behind mal-functioning systems, rather than looking for ways to help patients despite the systems. They also appear not to realise that people seeking to pick up prescriptions are likely to be ill and therefore in pain or tired or otherwise stressed, and so may not be as patient or polite as might be ideal
