I regularly use this pharmacy to collect my repeat prescriptions (sent by my GP electronically) along with other medications and consumables for a variety of minor ailments. I have always found the advice from the pharmacist and staff to be professional, knowledgeable and delivered in a friendly and understandable manner. I would wholeheartedly recommend this pharmacy. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I've been in. I was refused headache tablets I'm legally entitled to buy, because the pharmacist is on some kind of self-serving mission to nanny state us all. The upshot? I had to get in the car and drive elsewhere to find a sane pharmacist willing to let me decide what's best for me. Her company made no profit, I was made to feel like some kind of criminal. This person should learn that people can make their own decisions in life, and that everybody's physiology is different. Also worth mentioning she's the only person ever to say to me that this particular medication does not work for migraines. Nice to see someone caring for their community.

Useless.

The male member of staff (Elderly) was very rude when asked which day the prescription would be ready. It was put in on Friday and he said it wouldn’t be ready until ‘at least Tuesday’ His attitude was very obnoxious and he was asked for his name he snapped ‘No not telling you ‘ Reporting to the Head Office as I don’t think he should be allowed to speak to customers that way.

I am leaving a 1 star because it's impossible to leave less. I arrived to pick up some medicine on behalf of a friend. They were supposed to be ready at 11am of that morning and I got there at 12:15. Four other customers are in front of the counter and 2 members of staff are behind the wall where they are preparing medicines. Nobody is acknowledging customers arriving. After about 7 minutes of waiting one of the members of staff comes out hands a parcel to one of the waiting customers and bangs, she got back without speaking to anyone else. Then eventually, 2-3 minutes later she comes out and ask the first person in the queue what she needs. It's an easy over the counter and she is off in one minute. Same for the next person who is also off in an extra minute. In the mean time a third member of staff arrives, probably from lunch break; she goes straight in a consultation room to drop some stuff, then she comes out but doesn't seem to be interested in further helping she potters around. The following person in the queue, before me, is a carer and she collects medicines for the person she cares for; once they know their name they spend some time finding the prescription and disappear behind the wall. A few extra minutes of me waiting and not having received a single word and I finally get asked how I can be helped. I quickly explain and mention my friend's name. They explain that her orders are handled by an external company and will be available on Monday. I clarify the order was supposed to be there and my friend desperately needs her medicines. They say they might be able to help if I wait (I immediately explained I was in a hurry) and behind the wall they start mentioning medicines names and dosages while occasionally looking at me; I was convinced they are working on my order to repair the lack of service. This goes on for an extra 10 minutes. Then the pharmacist herself comes out, I feel relieved, she walks toward me, passes me and ends at the customer before me... At that point I ask clarification about my order and she starts shouting that she is a pharmacist and not selling trousers and she is not sure she can help as she has to close at 1pm. At that point I had to leave, I wasted more than half hour waiting for people who are both inefficient and incapable of delivering decent customer service and handling customer's expectations. Totally useless. Stay away!

Terrible pharmacy. Rarely has my medicines in stock. I had coronavirus symptoms while working with positive patients and was waiting for my test to come back so asked if they deliver as I live very close. They told me they wouldn't because I didn't get my prescriptions through them (because of stock issues). They also don't accept card payments over the phone which is a problem if you aren't allowed to leave the house.

Don't use this chemist, what's the point in having medication delivered if no one turns up to deliver, they don't answer phone and when they do they hung up, Then when I popped in there they tried to give me medication, NO that's why my dad has it delivered. This is medication he needs every day, and has run out, you don't deserve the one star.

Called up for out of hours service as my GP was closed and suggested, pharmacy, 111, or 999. Upon answering the phone a young man told me that he would pass me onto the relevant people to give me some advice on how to next proceed as i’m quite unwell… After having read the extensive reviews on here it seems that a fair few people were hung up on/ignored and after the call dropping off when he “went to find me help” I have no doubt this is what happened to me. So I call back and reach another team member who tells me they can’t help with that and to call 111, which seemingly confirms my hunch. It does not annoy me that they can’t help what does is but who hangs up on a sick person asking for help especially when it was as simple as her letting me know they can’t rather than not bothering. What happens when someone who is more poorly or needs medication? They will be ignored and neglected and that’s not okay. Disappointed to be honest, especially as they are the only one available at this time in the area, that is literally the only reason, I’m not giving 1star. Because at least if i have to grab more supplies I can there (I hope)……

Honestly a breath of fresh air to have a pharmacy who actually try and help. The people complaining clearly have never used Boots Newmarket Road. Great helpful considerate service.
