Portmans Pharmacy

The perfect example of an independent pharmacy (or small chain?) actually serving the community. They were able to get medication that no one else could obtain and it arrived the same day. Although it was a risk for them they ordered it without having the prescription in hand. Called to confirm it was in to save me a wasted journey. Dispensed quickly on my arrival. Excellent service and a really well stocked store too. Would definitely recommend and would use again

Sam, Neil and Mala are incredible staff members! So friendly and helpful with fantastic recommendations! As an American traveling from the states several pharmacy’s I went to first we’re difficult to navigate and didn’t have the common drugs that I needed in stock. They were so helpful finding what I need! This is the best pharmacy in London!

but unfortunately today I had a horrible experience with the new Italy pharmacist, unfortunately I don't have her name!
She's not sympathetic at all and has a rough tone making me feel uncomfortable And not helping me in any way, since I've never had any problems before!

This pharmacy is brilliant, I have never met any member of staff who is unhelpful and they always do whatever they can to be of assistance. Well stocked, well organised and with a local feeling.

Great service – I was concerned about pill size of my prescription, and the pharmacist I spoke to was helpful and empathetic. He was quickly able to provide me with one of my preferred generic versions and as there was no queue I was in and out within 5 minutes. Based on this experience I would love to have a pharmacy like this near where I live.

I have always liked this pharmacy as the people who work there are lovely and it’s very nice inside.

However the last few times I’ve been, there have been administrative issues every time. I’ve had prescriptions called in which Portmans were not able to find (only to realise they hadn’t looked properly after I had to re contact my doctor). Often when I collect they don’t have enough stock - which means you have to make another trip. Twice when this happened they promised to call when the remainder was delivered - but they didn’t call. The most recent time they said the rest of the medicine would be in the follow day, so I made the trip there, and it hasn’t been delivered.

These issues could be solved with better communication and administration.

I have always been happy to pay a premium at Portmans because the pharmacists and people who work there are always lovely. But with these basic customer service issues, I’m not sure that I will keep going.

Mala was incredibly helpful and created a gift set I wanted. She was willing to answer all my questions and provide some useful beauty advices.
I will definitely visit this place again.
It’s really important to help customers and provide them with beneficial advices and so this place is great.

Great knowledge, decent prices and amazing customer service! Portmans pharmacy know what they are talking about. My son suffered really bad eczema at 6 months. We went to the doctors and they prescribed creams, bath soap and even antibiotics. However nothing seemed to help. Portmans pharmacy gave me creams, oils and bath products. Within a couple weeks we saw a really big change! Since then I have not looked back and my son no longer has redness, itchy and dry skin. Thank you Portmans pharmacy!
