Rowlands Pharmacy Elswick Road

Used this chemist for many years, however not so good these days, prescriptions never ready, sometimes have to come back, not delivered, dont think its brexit, changed my chemist.

Very busy since it has taken on more clients. Delivery of medication is a joke. They either have no drivers or its taking an extra week or 2 for medication to arrive. It is suppose to be 48hrs after ordering. A relative has been left without serious medication for days and it keeps happening its not good enough. The staff are nice but the system needs sorting.

Since the management changed this chemist, which used to be efficient,it is now shambolic. My husband who has glaucoma and needs daily eye drops to prevent blindness has been unable to get his prescription, although they have had it for five days. He's now had no eye drops for 48 hours and they still haven't got the supply in.We used to request a prescription and it would be ready in three days, this now eight days and still no eye drops. We will be changing our designated chemist as soon as possible.

Picked up my prescription it had my name and the name of my medicine on the label. The medicine is for diabetes so I quickly had to take one as I had waited over a week for it. After taking the medicine I realized the box was different and I been given and taken the wrong tablets, I had taken medicine for mental health problems that I don't have! Called the pharmacy to tell them about the mistake and was met with nothing but rudeness on the phone. Ever since the new pharmacist has taken over it's gone down hill FAST. After contacting the complaints team I received a letter of apology from them. This letter is pointless to me as it doesn't pay the days wages I lost due to taking the wrong medicine. I'm disgusted that they think this is ok!

I can't praise Michael highly enough - personable, helpful and efficiency - in abundance. An asset to the pharmacy.

Why has this pharmacy signed up to be a DPD pick up point when they they're only open on weekdays 9:00 - 17:30??
How on earth do you expect me to pick up my parcel when I work half an hour away Mon - Fri 9:00 - 17:00??
If you're not open on the weekend don't agree to be a DPD collection point. So pointless.

Just been into shop because i ordered 2 latrel flow kits off the gov web site to be told they don't have any and the web is misleading, the assistant was quite rude to be honest and abrupt
