My wife is suffering from cancer, on the doctors advice I went to Lloyds Pharmacy in Stroud to purchase a thermometer at some £8 to regularly check her body temp. This was approximately 3-4 months ago, the thermometer worked fine for about 2-3 months then it started giving totally wrong readings around 33- 34 C. After the initial panic I realised it was a faulty product so I went to get a replacement which due to the fact that I no longer had a purchase receipt was point blank refused in spite the fact the thermometer was clearly marked with the pharmacies name. Not to mention that it is contrary to Trading Standards regulation. Please consider if I kept all the receipts of my purchases I would have to move to a bigger house to store them all. The attitude of the the person in charge was very disappointing and thee whole episode left me to reevaluate my feeling about this store, it made feel that I was trying to scam a new product out of the store. If there was a star rating I would be hard pushed to give you one star.

Lazy, incompetent and clueless. Drove to the pharmacist three times to finally found out they had the prescription all along. Was instructed by the GP to ask the pharmacist to call the surgery if they were still unable to find the prescription . Pharmacist told me to call ‘as it was easier’ after which I was told by the GP the pharmacist needed to contact the surgery themselves. Pharmacist lied to the GP stating that I offered to call, which is a blatant lie.

Pharmacist was also unaware that it had to be the patient calling and someone could not call on their behalf.

Absolutely inept and clueless.

Fine - it's a chain pharmacy - but opening hours seem entirely random, plus they actually close for lunch. Beware, they even close when people are still queuing! Could do with being run properly.

Extremely unhelpful. Why is it listed as "Open" when the pharmacy can't sell over the counter medication without a pharmacist present

Never have what you need and extremely unhelpful. Also don’t seem aware of the terrible service they are offering people. (People who are Ill and are suffering!!!) I once left here crying because I couldn’t buy paracetamol- I’d just had a c-section and was told to buy them here! Terribleness is UNREAL.

Terrible. I’ve come here to collect my prescription and it’s shut. I asked the Sainsburys staff and they said “Oh the pharmacy hasn’t turned up again” suggesting that this has happened multiple times. It’s a Sunday so the Lloyds customer service telephone number is closed, and the Head Office “out of hours” number didn’t answer the phone. I’m now left without my prescription, which I really need, and no way to resolve it.

Totally useless. I have to show up twice every month to get a repeat prescription because they don't bother to prepare it. Their phone is never picked up and goes to fax. Avoid.
