Shally's Chemist

Several times I've needed to buy prescription medication or over the counter medication, this is my local pharmacy so I come here and everytime I receive fantastic customer service.

Lynn behind the counter is always friendly and eager to help if I'm ever unsure about the best things to treat myself with or even to help pay for my prescriptions.

I've never been to a pharmacy that has been so happy to help and this goes a long way to making me feel comfortable asking for help and information when I need it.

I can't give enough praise, and I'm very grateful for your help Lynn.

Staff okay, pharmacist very pushy and adamant on doing MURs so he can earn extra money from the NHS. They don't even tell you that they're going to do an MUR, the store assistant just says that the pharmacist wants to speak to you. You go and sit in the consultation room and he wastes 15 mins of your time explaining the meds and how to use them etc, which you already know and the doctor has told you. If you're in a rush this isn't ideal. I would like the option to accept or decline the MUR, not forced to do it. Never will I return to Sallys.

Edit: The review was very warranted. Instead of addressing the situation you have tried to defend yourself. It is a learning opportunity, which every company should be open to positive criticism. I was never OFFERED, the lady just said that the pharmacist would like to speak to me and no explanation why. I'm in the healthcare profession myself, I understand why MURs are conducted, however a small explanation is needed to the patient to see if they have time. This may be an isolated incident, however I hope your company learns from it. Thank you.

I visited today 30/12/2020, for medication!
As I have a genuine exemption, I was not wearing a mask as I am NOT required to do so, however, I was asked to wear a mask. It was at this point that I informed them of my exemption. However, instead of accepting my explanation, the lady continued to harass me until yet another 'staff' member joined in with the harassment even telling me that they wouldn't serve me unless I stood outside (in the freezing cold)
I explained that I knew my rights and that harassment is considered a hate crime!
The lady continued and I left without purchasing the much need medication!
Avoid this Pharmacy if you can, this matter will be taken further!

Nothing is ever too much, every time I’ve been to Shally’s everyone has been friendly and helpful. Even when the GP has lost a prescription into the ether, they’ve gone above and beyond. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

For 3 days trying to call the chemist and their phone is always busy. Looks like the phone they have is just for decoration.

This is the friendliest, most helpful pharmacy I've ever visited. They tried everything in their power to help me out with an issue I was facing. I'm going to get my prescriptions sent straight here in the future.

A superb chemists. I am appalled at the pathetic reasons people give for their 1 star reviews. Clearly they are just negative people. The staff are friendly and always empathetic, caring and accomodating. Whenever an item has not been in stock, they offer to order it in. They are always open to suggestions and in 15 years of using this chemists they have always been EXCELLENT!
